CL or not

If you are looking for a five van site this is not for you. There are over a dozen pitches with showers and toilets etc. Very clean, neat and tidy but too many units for me.

Great Break...Little Gem

Arrived at the site to be greeted by Grant and taken to the pitch and helped to park...(He knew what he was doing, more than some ) I was quite impressed with the layout of the site, although I didn't use the facilities I had a look at them and they were very clean We were put in a pitch close to the showers in case I wanted to use them (I have problems walking) which they knew about in our conversations, and couldn't have been more helpful in siting us...easy to get to any of the towns We visited the Kelpies and the Falkirk wheel, and enjoyed our trips out to other places and to Falkirk shopping. Very Quiet and relaxing 5 days can't wait for next season to book again think this will be one of our regular haunts. We store our caravan at Strathclyde Park so great for us to get to

What a gem!

We have only been caravaners since March this year and this was our first visit to a CL site. If this is indicative of all CLs then we will stay at more of them. We stayed for 2 nights, from 23rd - 25 th September, on our way back from a tour of the Highlands. We had a lovely greeting from Grant; although if he hadn't been there a notice board clearly indicated our name and pitch number. The welcome/information sheet is very helpful and gives all the information you need. The facilities were very well kept and cleaned daily and the pitches roomy and well laid out. The site is surrounded by countryside and we liked the provision of bird feeders so that we could indulge our love of bird watching. Even in its fairly remote position TV reception is good and there is WiFi available should you want or need it. Very easy to get to Stirling and the motorway.

Best CL in a long time

Called in here after not being happy at CC Clachan. What a difference, so well maintained and organised definitely a must.

Beautiful Site

We stayed here at the end of July for 2 nights to break up travelling to Grantown on Spey, what a gem of a site and the owners are so friendly.  Just a pity its such a long distance from home or it would become my regular weekend escape!!  The whole site was well kept and the facilities spotless.

Peaceful and relaxing stay

All other positive comments echoed. Only thing to bear in mind is the 'small commercial site adjacent' as in total, there seems to be space for 12 units including the 'CL'. All pitches share the same facilities and some mornings, the one shower was very busy. Super and easy access to Edinburgh and Glasgow via train from Larbert station (free parking).

Beautiful site

Had Great visit here Aug 15  owners really pleasant and helpful on a well kept site. Bit awkward to get to but worth the trip. Great for visiting both Stirling and Falkirk. Would certainly consider a return if visiting Sctland again.

7 nights to relax

I was a bit apprehensive about getting to the Site as it is down a fairly narrow road with some passing places. It was fine the whole time we were there, but it was OK overall. Good directions to the Site from the Web Site, but complete lack of CC CL Signs and no caravan sign into the farm road. This sounds rather negative, but it isn't. Can't praise the actual Site enough, it was brilliant even though we were there in bad weather and blowing at storm force. Lovely views and good clean facilities for a CL Loved the tap at each pitch. Highly recommended we will be back. Thanks

Fantastic site

We stayed for nine nights recently. Fabulous site with warm welcome. Great hard standing pitch each with own water supply. Beautiful views and easy access to explore vicinity. Clean but basic toilets and shower. Beautifully landscaped site and well kept. We loved the horses in adjacent field who were all very happy!  Nowhere for dog to run off lead but that's the only downside. Very informative welcome pack and information shed. Would definitely recommend! Well done a Grant and Gillian!
