Fourth visit says it all!

Our favourite site in East Anglia. Mollie and Richard are always so welcoming and friendly. The pizzas, cooked in a wood oven on certain Friday nights, are worth a visit on their own. They are delicious and can be eaten in the lovely garden area where there are tables and seating. The site is lovely and quiet at night time. We love how the grass between the pitches has been left long to encourage wildlife. 25 minutes walk into Framlingham by footpath. Nice quaint shops and tearooms. Small market on Saturday (we are only able to visit at the weekends due to work commitments and there may be another market day). A must visit is the 'The Castle on the Hill', as per Ed Sheeran's song (he lives locally). We will be going back again.

Good site for chilling out

Good, clean site. EHU included in the price. Must have your own bathroom facilities, but black and grey waste provided. About 25 mins walk from Framingham, and the castle. Markets on Tuesday (small) and Saturdays. Close to Fairly busy road during day, but quietens down at night. No lighting on site so good for star watching, but don’t forget a torch if out and about..

Small site, good facilities, warm welcome.

Small site just outside Framlingham. Excellent facilities, very warm welcome but next to a fairly busy road, however quiet at night. Not keen on unmown grass separating the pitches, I would much prefer a low hedge or small trees but would return if in the area.

Framlingham in the sun

What a great site, so friendly, even had help erecting our awning from our neighbours. Mollie and Richard are great hosts and run a superb CL. We arrived on Friday and immediately placed our order for Pizzas that night and sat in the garden with lots of locals, enjoying scrumptious food supplied by Rich and served by Mollie. Nothing was to much trouble, we found them both very friendly and extremely professional. With so much to see and visit in Framlingham and local seaside resorts. The area is steeped in history and local fresh fish available in restaurants and takeaway. You can also visit the amazing Framlingham Castle. Well worth a visit.

Lovely peaceful CL

This was our second visit to this CL and it didn't disappoint. We received a warm welcome from Mollie when we arrived. A beautiful CL, with well kept pitching areas, surrounded by wild grasses. A great variety of butterflies, birds and wildlife including a large muntjac deer that strolled past our caravan. We enjoyed the walk into Framlingham which is a bustling little town with plenty to see and do. We will definitely return again and will hopefully be able to enjoy one of your lovely pizzas!

A charming Place to Stay

This site is fabulous if you want peace and tranquility. A small, well kept site which is ideal if you have your own facilities. The site is in walking distance of the fabulous town of Framlingham which has many independent shops and cafes. We used the site as a place to stay whilst going to a friends wedding - we had a slight problem with the electric in our rig and the owner of the site, Molly was very kind and allowed me to use her facilities to do my hair. Life saver, thank you! I am happy to recommend this site which is a great location from where to explore beautiful Suffolk.

Well worth a visit

Just returned from a 2 night stay at this lovely site. The owner is very friendly and welcoming and the pitches are level with EHU. The site is clean and tidy and very well maintained. The garden area is tranquil and set out with tables and chairs. A walk into Framlingham along a footpath is easy and the town is a delight with a good selection of cafes and of course the castle. We had a guided tour of the castle which is well worth a visit. We will certainly visit again.

Great CL

Mollie made us feel really welcome and was very helpful. The pitches have plenty of room and the whole area creates a peaceful atmosphere. There is a garden/seating area separate from the pitches where you can eat and drink and enjoy the best of the sunset. A great site for visiting Framingham and the surrounding area. We cycled into the town in only a few minutes. Thanks for a really nice stay. Hopefully we can make it back at some point to enjoy a pizza night.

Our only disappointment is that we didn't stay longer!

We stayed at Black Barn last week (June 2022) as part of 2 weeks touring East Anglia, using all Club sites & CLs. Black Barn was by far our favourite site, Mollie a lovely, welcoming host, the pitches plentiful in size and separated by wavering grasses . The site is delightful, with a beautiful garden/seating area. We were really disappointed we'd only booked 2 nights ~ we missed the home-made pizza night! This is a beautiful area and a perfect location. The walk into Framlingham is charming and there are plenty of dog walks from site. We will definitely return next year for longer ~ a very special place.

A carefully managed setting with flowers and seating area.

A very friendly and accommodating owner who has put a lot of thought in to creating her site. Easy access off s road with some road noise but the site is set away from the road which is quietebin the evening.. The facilities are clean and well signed, even a toilet but no shower. There is a lovely outdoor area with chairs and tables (complete with fresh flowers on the tables) to socialise or for quiet contemplation. The owner has carefully created managed wild areas around the site which can have poppies etc growing. Payment is in full and booking is via their website so it it simple to check the availability at £18 incl EHU pn. A lovely site.
