What a gem!

We have just enjoyed 3 nights at Black Barn CL and loved it. The site is an easy stroll to the delights of Framlingham and there is plenty of walking to be had straight from the site - we didn't use the car once during our stay. Mollie and Rich looked after us royally and we loved the pizzas from their wood fired oven and the desserts were delicious too. The facilities on the site: EHUs, chemical disposal and water were just fine. The weather had been wet in the run up to our visit and Mollie phoned the day before the let us know the site and entrance were soggy. Whilst we have a 7.5m, 1.5 tonne single axle van we do have a 4x4 so were confident we could get on and off the site and this proved to be the case. A couple of front wheel drive motor caravans did struggle but Black Barn has a couple of back-up pitches on firmer ground still within easy reach on EHUs so the day was saved. Overall we were extremely impressed and will definitely visit again!

Top notch in every way

Black Barn is a wonderful gem set in a beautiful position. Easy walk to Framlingham, everything you’d expect from a CL but better. The welcome is genuine and warm. The real added bonus here is fresh pizza made on site at weekends. These can be enjoyed in an outside eating area around a fire pit. The sun sets are epic. We will be back

Fab site - even in the wettest few days I've ever spent in Suffolk

Perfect base for visiting family in Framlingham and the surrounding area. Mollie and Richard very friendly and welcoming - Mollie even emailed ahead to say the pizza oven was being fired up on Friday if we were interested - we were and the pizzas were lovely. They even very kindly set up a table in one of the luxury "sheds" so we could eat in the dry with our guests. The field is spacious and the water supply and chemical disposal clean and convenient. After a lot of rain (and I mean a LOT) the entrance gate was starting to get muddy but the next morning a large load of hard core was delivered and the problem solved - we had no problem getting off the site in a 6m van. We will definitely be back. Thanks

Fantastic week at Black Barn.

We were made very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. A fantastic location - very peaceful but within walking distance of Framlingham which had shops and pubs etc. The pop up pizza garden was very popular with families and extremely pretty with old English flowers in raised beds. We will return.

Super Site!

This is truly a super site; well groomed grass field and excellent all new facilities. Mollie and Richard are genuinely friendly and enthusiastic owners and have done a magnificent job with the outdoor seating area which came alive on Saturday evening with their friends and visiting guests from the site. We enjoyed Richards amazing pizzas, all cooked to order in the pop-up Pizza barn, a lovely evening under the fairy lights. Framlingham, a gorgeous and ancient Suffolk town, is just a mile easy walk down the road. Easy access to all the other delightful historic and picturesque places in the county made this a convenient base for a very enjoyable week. Places we enjoyed on our travels included, Sothwold, Aldeburgh, Orford, Dunwich, Lavenham, Sutton Hoo near Woodbridge, and the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum in Flixton. And two excellent restaurants, the W and W in Framlingham and the Unruly Pig Bromeswell near Woodbridge. What's not to like, brilliant!

Black Barn CL site

Lovely clean and friendly site. Real welcome from Mollie and felt right at home immediately on arrival. Yes, the main road outside does get busy when school is starting and finishing but this is made clear on the website so you will know about it in advance. This had absolutely no effect on our enjoyment and when on site you would not be aware of it. This is an excellent site with lovely owners. Definitely intend to return.

A real find

One of the best CL sites we have visited. Lovely welcome from the hosts, easy walking distance to a very interesting and picturesque Suffolk market town - market Tuesday and Saturday- plus a beautiful castle to explore. The site is new and has been thoughtfully designed to give outside seating and eating areas as well as access to open countryside for hikes and dog walks. We ate out in a few of the many eateries in the town as well as indulging in delicious fish and chips washed down by locally brewed ale watching the sunset over the fields. We were fortunate enough to be on the site when Mollie's chef husband cooked pizzas in the outdoor oven, these were truly historic - we'll be coming back for more!! We stayed for a week, visiting Aldeburgh, Walberswick and Orford, swimming, crabbing and shopping! So many places to visit so we'll have to return again.

Suffolk gem close to Framlingham

We had a great stay at this lovely location and Mollie and Richard couldn't have been more welcoming. This enterprising couple also run an events business on site and warned us about possible noise at the weekend. It really wasn't an issue and it meant we could join them at their on-site, open-air restaurant for one of Richard amazing pizzas. Event was over by 10 so, if it had been an issue, which it certainly wasn't, it was over early anyway. Framlingham just up the road and lots of places to explore. Thoroughly recommended.

What a gem......

This is a lovely new site run by Mollie & Rich. Grass pitches in a horseshoe shape. Mollie made us feel extremely welcome, both when we booked and on arrival. We took advantage of the open on-site pop up pizza shed (delicious & delivered to your pitch with a smile!). They have built a fabulous outside seating area which you are welcome to use (there are plans to add photos) - a sunny spot where we enjoyed breakfast. It’s a short walk into Framlingham either along a pavement or across fields, a lovely little town with a castle. We stayed for 4 nights in our motorhome and it was a great base for seeing the many local attractions (& “Detectorists” haunts!). We will be back!
