A real gem

We stayed on the site for 4 days and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The booking process was easy, the communication first class and the information spot on. The site itself is easy to access and very well kept. The pitches are large and surrounded by wild flowers. A walk into Framlingham was no problem and I can recommend the local chippy (Ed Sheeran is also a fan!) I would also recommend Mollie & Richard's pizzas. They were fabulous. We will definitely stay again as it is an ideal location for exploring both the rural and coastal areas of East Anglia.

Perfect site

We stayed at Black Barn recently for the second time. We absolutely love this little site. Perfectly placed to walk into the lovely market town of Framlingham, with it's castle and good selection of shops plus a great market on a Saturday. The site is easily accessed from the main road and is well maintained with large pitches surrounded by wild flower meadow. Owner Mollie is welcoming, friendly and helpful. We were lucky enough to be there for pizza night during our stay this time and we thoroughly recommend it, whether you eat at your own pitch or sit round at the outdoor tables. It's great for wildlife watching too. We look forward to returning next year.

Fab site

Lovely little site and lovely owner too. Very friendly. Just had 3 nights here and we both would of happily stayed longer. Booked the pizza for Friday night and we both agreed it was the best! We had a lovely evening in the garden celebrating our wedding anniversary, couldn't of wished for a nicer evening. A nice easy walk into the town with it's superb selection of unique shops dotted about. We will definitely return :-)

Highly recommended!

Stayed here for two nights in August as we had a local family event in Framlingham. I cocked up the booking date but Mollie was very helpful and smoothed over the mistake. Although near to the road, and of course Framlingham itself, the site is very quiet. We felt very well rested afterwards. The town is interesting and the Castle worth a visit, especially if you are a member of English Heritage, with plenty of adequate parking at the Castle - a short walk into town. The Friday night Pizza event is excellent. The pizzas Rick produces are to die for - highly recommended! We will return.

The Way to Go for all sites

We stayed at this delightful site for 3 nights. I am a nature lover and each ample sized pitch was separated by natural grasses and wild plants to give a private feel and space, with the pitch grass lovely and trim. It was homely and welcoming as was Molly the owner. The large area the other side of the pitch area has well equipped sheds for their pizza /event nights with tables and ambient lighting. The outside is so natural and lovely with several raised beds bursting with plants and flowers and literally humming with bees. A wildflower meadow is also being developed. Also a sandpit for toddlers and plenty of space for all. We sat outside our caravan and watched so many butterflies and dragon flies. Lots of swifts about too. The naturalness of the site I feel is the way to go for other sites. It’s the reason we caravan, to get in with nature, so having natural areas for birds and insects is a necessity for me. Well done to a site really trying to make a difference. My favourite CL so far.

Ideal for Framlingham

We only stayed one night at this site to attend a function. The site was waterlogged due to very heavy rain but we we were warned in advance and given the option to re-book at a later date. We needed to stay so we were offered a hardstanding area off the grass. All this was communicated to us by email in advance and upon arrival we negotiated a suitable spot.and were assisted to set up the electrics.. The payment is in advance but was easily completed. We were fully informed of the procedures prior to arrival by email which was also very efficient. The site is off a quiet B road and access is easy. It is only one mile from Framlingham town centre which has a lot of pleasant walks and the 14th C Castle The star assessment reflects the co-operation and assistance of the owners.

Fabulous Site

We stayed here for 11 nights earlier this month. I would recommend without hesitation and Mollie is very friendly and helpful. The Friday Pizza night is a great asset and we had a side salad with ours too with a gorgeous home made dressing by husband and Chef Rich. Unfortunately it was raining that particular Friday so we were unable to sit in the garden so ate in our caravan. The emptying and water facilities are good and include separate recycling bins. Once you get into Framlingham and approaching the site slow right down as we missed it and had to reverse into a nearby road. The entrance is pretty tight at first sight. We really enjoyed the area and found Black Barn a good base for lots of visits within 10-15 miles. Brilliant!

We will be back

What a lovely site, Richard and Mollie made us very welcome, a very friendly set up. Great facilities and what a special evening on the Friday, Richard makes the most amazing Wood Fired Pizza's, to order along with very special salads. Not to be missed. The walk into Framlingham is not far and the little town is full of lots of lovely delicious goodies. The Castle is well worth the visit, we had not been before but would certainly go again. This is a popular site and we can see why, we will be back.
