Posted on 31/03/2021 19:28 by WherenextGood to read of AD seeing his daughter and Bakers seeing her Grandson but the Cows win ( well maybe not for you 2 but...)
Gave the MiL a lovely day and earned oodles of Brownie points. She had a relaxing morning then we had a sedate drive to Bodnant gardens near Conwy. Beautiful sunshine but not too hot today. The place was indeed heaving but it swallows a lot and most don't venture far.
The Magnolias are the star specimens at this time of year but we were pleasantly surprised at the amount of small plants that were showing well. Something for everyone especially as they still had a glorious display of Daffodils going strong.
We drove back using the high road that runs parallel to the A55 but way above it in the hills and blanched a bit as we recalled taking a caravan that way a few years ago.😱

Posted on 31/03/2021 18:09 by3 days I admire your determination. I have done one today and thats all its getting. If I dared get on the roof it would be a different matter but off the ladder with a long brush is going to have to do.

The long brush was the first day!!! Even with Fenwicks it didn't remove the inground muck, only the polish seems to do that. The roof is fibreglass so I don't know whether makes a difference. I seem to recall that the aluminium roof on the various caravans didn't seem to get so bad?

Posted on 30/03/2021 16:49 by CornersteadyWhat a lovely warm day. It felt wonderful cycling through warm air again! A ride to Durham then along the Lanchester valley walk to Consett then back along the old railway line to home. The second picture is Terris Novalis and is where the might steel works would have been. The last two are a then and now on Front Street and you can see the steel works in the background in the 1979 photograph.

Posted on 31/03/2021 16:41 by DavidKlyneEnd of day three cleaning the motorhome roof. All done except for the few bits I couldn't reach, fortunately not much. It is amazing how much muck builds up under the roof hatches. Although I have washed the sides I haven't yet polished them - might have to wait for another sunny day!

Good to hear you've been enjoying the good weather and getting jobs done.
Its not been great here more rain, high winds and cold more cold weather coming but at least we might get some sun and blue skies.
No van washing here far to cold but getting the roof doesn't usually cause an issue. When we had the Bailey Motor Home OH used to get up on the roof as it could take it.
You are right DK in that they are harder to clean than the caravan roofs. It's round the sky lights that I find the hardest to get to and the sky light themselves are difficult to clean, we have sap on the big one which is proving difficult to remove. I got OH to remove the grill bit from the Omnivent last week, now that thing is a right pain to clean.
