Got back from Fisher Field yesterday after a great weekend away. Downside is van is filthy bit that will have to wait, more important jollities to enjoy House more or less decorated although not bothering with outside

Twenty years ago we hung some cheap Ikea curtains in our bedroom - just until we found what we wanted.

Today the day has come, and we've hung some very posh (and not exactly cheap) ones.

It doesn't do to rush things.

Did our final shop for Christmas , now I've got to sit and look at all that chocolate and cider ,not allowed to touch it till Christmas Day

Today I went for a chat/interview with the Volunteer Development Manager at Peterborough Cathedral and have been accepted as a Volunteer Welcomer at Peterborough Cathedral. I start in the New Year. So looking forward to it. A new challenge.

Still suffering with the cold and sore throat, OH is feeling worse than me, he has to go back to the doctors tomorrow.

This all means christmas preparations are not going well.😢

So sorry you are both still feeling so poorly Helen And Trevor. Definitely not what you want when there is so much to do and you can't really enjoy all the Christmas preparations and festivities. I do hope you both feel better soon.

Had a £5 voucher for food, if I spent over £40,from M&S in my pocket when I visited their store today. Never spend this amount so I tend to give these vouchers to the first pleasant and polite person I meet. Such was the base behaviour that I witnessed from people who pretend they know better but don't that I ended up throwing the voucher away in disgust.

I'm not the most enthusiastic of Christmas revellers but am no party pooper either and appreciate the demands on time and money at this time of year but the Christmas spirit was definitely missing this morning.
