Well  the  muck  has  gone  from  my  motors  windows  &  I've  re-filled  the  washer  bottle  to  the  top  &  warmed  my  hands  again.  So  all  I've  got  to  do  now  is  clean  the  E-Cloths  I  used --  probably  a  bigger  job  than  the  windows  !

Still  I  can  sit  here  with  my  latest  Steam  Mag  &  start  to  build  up  the  list  of  rallies  for  2017,  so  if  you  hear  any  whooping  cheering  &  similar  happy  noises  its  only  Brian  filling  another  A4  sheet  in  Laughing

I  hope  all  you  uber-keen  Bookers  have  fun  on  Wednesday,  I'll  report  back  on  Thursday  afternoon  to  see  how  many  of  you  have  not  thrown  the  keyboard  thro'  the  window  !  Tara  for  now  Kiss.

B

Decided to look it up,

It was launched by Ted Heath's Tory government in 1972, back then the £10 Xmas boost was worth more than the £6.75 basic state pension. The basic pension is now £95.25 a week. Wink

Seems like we are both wrong, mine was a copy/paste from an ancient source Smile, basic single pension seems to be £119.30 per week on the current gov site.
