Pre-arrival texts

There’s lots of passing places there plus you can scoot onto the moor. Biggest issue is the Wooly backs obstinate beggars they are🤷🏻‍♂️

A bit off topic - but it's not a dirt track at all - it's a proper tarmac road and as RB2 says, there's plenty of room to pull off and wait before getting to the site - as I saw a couple of units doing so last week.

Out of interest I wonder why we and others received a personal phone call rather than a text, who is sending out the texts? Is it head office or the sites? 

If it arives on a Sat or Sunday it must be the site? 

Not if they are sent by an automated system, like the reminders of health centre appointments.

Sites have been phoning ahead for a few weeks now Brue. The automated sms texts from EGH started this last week. 

A lot of sites are still phoning ahead as some people as DK mentions above apparently don't look at their phones.

At Chatsworth Park they remove the chain across the drive way at 12.30, so encouraging people to arrive 30 mins early. It is about time the Club got this sorted out! It would be so easy to put a comment on memberships in order to identify persistent early arrivals.

It also needs all club sites to stick to the same rules. People should not be allowed to park up at reception and then wander around the site to choose their pitch way before other folk who stick to the rules and arrive at the allotted time. If people want to be members of the Club, they should stick to the rules of the club!!

Thanks JK. I also had a thought that there may be some who haven't registered mobile phone numbers on their booking so only a home phone call is possible. We missed our call but I spotted it and called the site back (thinking that's it, the managers have Covid, our holiday is cancelled!) I hope it all helps people to "get the message."
