Cariadon, there is a difference between discussing the person as opposed to the event and cancellation policy. It can and should be kept impersonal.

Write your comments here...what I mean sometime Vivienne's name will be mentioned as it her experience which started this thread, but I suppose what David meant was that we should not "slag" her off when she cannot defend herself.

I'm still wondering which of the T&Cs Vivien is supposed to have broken when I see some rather wild statements and insults being flung around by others on a fairly regular basis with no action being taken by the Community Manager whatsoever. Surely this can't mean it's a case of punishing the whistleblower or singling one person out, surely? Surely, the CC isn't capable of that?

I think everyone needs to stop discussing the person in question otherwise there will be little choice but to close this thread as I feel enough has been said already?

I agree, compass, surely one of the champs could close it pending  a review by the CM. It's happened often enough on other less contentious threads.

What has happend to Vivien is appalling and needs to be sorted out so that no one else ever has this happening to them.

However, going back over the posts of Vivien I see that the morning after she had her pitch cancelled the person she spoke to at CCHQ told her that there were 3 availble pitche. He offered to reinstate her booking. I'm at a loss as to why the offer was not taken up, surely this would have been better for all concerned for the meet to take place as planned. Then once the weekend was over having all had a good time, a letter of complaint lodged with CC. 

It has been very upsetting for Vivien to deal with and it has done the club no favours.

David,  I  fully  agree  with  you  !  Since  you  posted  the  general  atmosphere  has  been  more  like  a  School  playground  squabble,  so  may  I  request  that  you  follow  up  your comments  and  close  it  now,  please?

What happened to Viv could be common practice and was only discovered as Viv still visited the site. 

Anyone who has suffered a cancellation in the past may have been pushed aside by a larger group or longer booking and not be any wiser. 

Today we finally (gladly) hang up our membership of the CC as they no longer appeal to us with their excessive prices and poor management. It's a shame the good and hard work done by the wardens are overshadowed by a chairman who seems to just want 5 minutes of tv fame. 

Anyway it's been a pleasure to discuss many issues with all the members and if anyone took offence to any of my comments then I apologise as that was never my intention.
