Welcome to the Caravan and Motorhome Club.

Ever since we came together as a group of outdoor enthusiasts 110 years ago, our Club has continued on a journey of discovery. It's time for us to make some changes for the better by redefining who we are to help you get the most of the great outdoors.

I’m sure you all have lots of questions, please post your feedback and queries in this thread.

What does our new logo mean? We created a video to explain how we created it:

Well I dont post on this forum usually - and wont be back soon as every new page of comments is hidden by the instant drop-down menu....

The sites are quite nice.  But expensive.  The magazine is just paid for by adverts - and refuses to criticise the big dealers.  Soft journalism.

The name change is fine - but the logo is forgettable.

The cost?  Obviously we are never going to be told.

I just wish that the news story of the day had been important.

Please could someone enlighten me as to what "FeedbacK"? I have never completed any questionnaire for the Caravan Club? The brand name says it all, "Caravan"! Does this now mean the mass invasion of Motorhomes to all the best pitches and then during the day the pitches are left bare. Why can't they start their own Club?

Oh my frown if this isn't a reason for rebranding and opening up to new demographics then I don't know what is

Our biggest criticism as a CL owner is that the communication from the club has only just filtered through to us this morning. In preparation for the coming season, like most other CL's and small caravanning sites, we have refreshed our business cards and marketing material and we only took receipt of the newly printed items last Thursday. We have been told by the club in an email that we have to change all items with the old logo and replace them ones with the new logo as soon as possible, and it is at our own expense! It would have been better for the club to have communicated before the start of this year that re-branding was afoot and to hold off on having anything printed before the change over date - today. CL's are an integral part of the Caravan Club/ Caravan and Motorhome Club offering to their members and perhaps in future CL's will be treated as such.

My wife and I have enjoyed camping for nearly forty years, starting with a tent then caravan, motorhome and now an RV.  We have certainly experienced issues with the club in the past when our outfit did not meet expectations but that is mostly in the past.  Having experience of camping in Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand, we in the UK have much to learn to provide a complete package.

Nevertheless, we have found the Caravan Club generally good on quality and cleanliness. With our RV we do not expect to get to use all of the clubs sites, but are thrilled when we are welcomed. We generally find independent parks more accommodating and less judgemental. Our foot print these days is often smaller than some caravan/4x4/awning set ups, but mention an RV and we are often turned away.

I share others concern about the cost of re-branding and would like to see more effort to increase the facilities for longer vehicles. The name of the club was irrelevant to us, we simply joined to give us access to the sites.

However, I can understand not everyone new to the pastime will realize the Caravan Club these days is open to all types of outfit.

I would have felt more included if it had been

Caravan , Motorhome and RV  Club,

as quoted above  there is still a lot of limitation for my end of usage .

Well what a lot of negative feedback and very few positive remarks .Me and Jo think it's a great move and a brilliant way to move the club forward. We have been members of the CC/CMC for many years and give it all the support we can.Im sure the powers to be and all the people who work tirelessly behind the scenes to improve the club do so to help the club to move forward into its next stage. We think the rebranding is modern ,current, cool and needed. If there are so many people unhappy with the club then they should leave and find another club to moan about. Well done to the Caravan & Motorhome Club.Well done also Rochelle cool

What is the difference between a motorhomer leaving a pitch bare during the day and a caravan owner going out in their car for the day leaving an empty caravan? Either way the pitch is technically unused during the day - or does your caravan like to sit and admire the view?

Loving the name change! A memorable day and a victory in the battle against Motorhomerphobia! Phase one is now completed and phase two "The Motorhome & Caravan Club" name change is surely just around the corner. Our first post over four years ago suggested this and received much abuse. I haven't been on here for years but just couldn't let the memorable moment go un-marked/posted. Well done the Motorhome and Caravan Club!

I suggest along with these changes that you start charging a deposit when members book pitches and don't turn up, spoiling it for members that do want to go no matter what the weather is doing. I do appreciate that some cancellations can't be avoided but this has upset a lot of member who can't get onto sites.
