Great Site for York

Beechwood Grange has become the site for visiting York as it is virtually impossible to get on Rowntree Park!. This is a great site, friendly wardens keep the facilities spotless, the pitches are well laid out and spacious, its location is ideal for Monks Cross shopping and the Park & Ride for York, the only drawback we found was that the noise from the York by-pass, the A64 is a lot noisier than on our last visit, however it wont put us off visiting again!

Great Site just outside York

Stayed for two nights and were very happy about our stay. Wardens were very helpful and obliging, Pitches are spacious, toilet block was clean and tidy, great play area for kids and the P&R to get to York is just 1 mile up the road, with special parking for Motorhomes. Would come back anyday.

Our third visit this year!

We have just returned home from 10 nights at Beechwood Grange - the third visit of a similar length this year. The site is wonderful, well run, well kept, with a super dog walking paddock. The wardens are helpful, friendly, hard-working and genuinely nice people. They are a credit to the club. The only tiny criticism is that the toilet/shower block is starting to look a little tired and will probably need some refurbishment in the not too distant future. Having said that, it serves the purpose and is always clean. As soon as I drive onto the the site, I feel myself relaxing and the last visit was no different, despite some mixed weather. We will hopefully be coming back again soon. Peter & Linda Shields

Keep coming back

We really like this site and the wardens make us welcome. Easy to get into York even by bus from the end of the driveway. Facilities are good though a little more heat in the shower block would be nice. A lovely site - recommended you too give it a try.

cracking site

great site, stayed 4 nights in October, incredible access to the centre of York via the park and ride, which is 10% of the city car park charges, very clean and well maintained and very friendly and helpful staff. Do not use satnav to reach this place it will send you a mile away, site very poorly signposted from the island on the ring road, perhaps its a secret.

Brilliant site

Stayed for 5 nights in September (Not enough) enjoyed every minute. Great site, great facilities with large open pitches. Excellent for shopping and Park & Ride (5 mins by car). Crammed a lot in such a short stay will be back for longer, everything from Wardens to site, to access to York and surrounding area's could not be bettered :-)

Weekend stay

Stayed 30th Sept to 3rd Oct, lovely site no awning to fight with as we took full advantage of park and ride - (motorhome area was very busy)  Showers very busy and had to wait unless you are up very early but clean and lovely hot water. This was our second visit and we will come again as there's so much to do in York.

york beechwood grange

stayed on this club site 28th-sept - 1st oct . Lovely peaceful site with really friendly, helpful wardens .The site is very well maintained with a brilliant dog walk .The park n ride is only 1 1/4 mile away and good value at £2.80 return each person .Must say the only downside was inconsiderate people who are to lazy to use footpaths and walk across your pitch which is very annoying , come on respect other campers privacy .We will return to this site .

Great stay at Beechwood Grange

Easy to get to if you follow club directions, friendly welcome from the wardens, good size pitches, clean toilet block. Lots of things to do, park and ride to York close by, lots of shops, places to visit nearby Brezzy Knees Garden and Castle Howard are just two of the places we went too. Problem of people speeding on site is getting worse, not good when children are playing. We went on a site in Cornwall and the wardens had a blackboard to put the reg. Of speeding cars on. Good idea, but some people will never learn. We look forward to returning soon.
