Excellent site

Everything very good apart from one minor detail ,when toilets are been cleaned you are unable to gain access to the disable toilets as these were locked on two separate occasions when toilets were being cleaned ,apart from that a great site and definitely will be returning

Pre- Christmas Break

We received a very warm welcome from the wardens on arrival. The site is immaculate, even in damp, misty and rather miserable weather! We have dogsand found the dog walk/exercise field very good. It is a slight disadvantage that you can't walk your dogs off the site without taking them in the car however given the location of the site it's totally understandable - compensated for by the lovely sight of four yearling foals grazing in the paddock beside the drive! The facilities were well looked after and the proximity to the Monks Cross Park and Ride is great for travelling into York. We enjoyed our stay so much we actually stayed for an extra night. Great wardens - the site is a credit to them.

First time on a Caravan Club Site

Just arrived home from a weekend and Beeckwood near York. Lovely site, very well laid out, extremely friendly and helpful welcome.  The facilities are good, clean and easily accessible too. We walked to the bus stop which was about a 25 minute walk but even on a cloudy day this was nice and steady for a bus into York which took about 15 minutes.  A taxi home late evening was only £9 and the site was ideally located for a day out in Malton and surrounding areas.  We would definately return when wanting to stay again in York.

First time visitors

This was our first visit to the site as we wanted to see York and Harrogate. It is spacious and a good wide drive to the site, it is very well run and what lifts this above many CC sites is the staff, these are really good people and are responsible for my decision to return. The local park and ride makes it easy to get into York as parking there is expensive and at a premium. The area lacks good places to eat although I heard of an excellent fish and chip shop nearby. If you have a dog this will be a good site for you. On the bus into York, at the pubs and eating places they all provide free wifi. The CC needs to catch up and invest in a free and decent set up.

Birthday break!

Stayed here for 4 nights last weekend to celebrate my birthday.  Nice clean, well looked after site.  Toilet blocks lovely and clean.  Good location for visiting York, park and ride 5 minutes down the road. Retail parks and designer village on doorstep.  Will be visiting again at New Year

Lovely quiet site perfect for a few nights break

We stayed at beachwood grange couple of weeks ago , very friendly & helpful staff. Didn't use the showers & loo's, but had a peek at them & looked spotless & warm. The office sold a few essentials in case you run out & fresh bread & milk every day.  We are in a motor home so only used the water fill up & empty waste water.  We cycled into York, which took 30 mins. Only the first main road was without street lights for 1 mile, then well lit up. Cycle lane most of the way,  flat all the way! Loved the site, booked again for New Year, will be visiting the shopping outlets! ?? Highly recommed a visit good size pitches ideal for all year camping!

Perfect location for York

As the other club site in York was full, I was booked onYork Beechwood Grange site which proved to be a good place to stay. Beautiful surrounduing, very helpful staff and the Monks Cross Shopping Centre has a P&R area especially for motor caravans. The P&R bus takes approx. 10-15 mins to the city and runs every 10 mins. Certainly 5*.

Always a great stay!

This was our third stay at the site spending 3 days for Christmas shopping. An excellent site and so easy to get to with helpful, friendly wardens. The site is really well maintained and collecting leaves and cutting the grass was an impressive attention to detail in mid November! Only the weather was below par. Monks Cross shopping has really improved and much better we felt than the Designer Outlet. So combined with a trip into York an ideal way to get ready for the festivities.

Newbies to Caravaning

Our first ever caravan when you have researched Mro,Mtplm, noseweight, kerbweight, train weight, snaking, watched you tube videos of cars being pulled down hills by there Caravanyou will understand the stress I've been under ?? Our first trip could not have been better a mild November and then to meet an absolute gentleman Trevor and his wife.He assisted us pitching up and assured us everything was fine he also scored a prize with our dog Stanley (the bulldog). Site was very clean and also very peaceful all the staff could not do enough for us and made us so welcome that we will be returning before Christmas. Hope you both enjoy your biscuits and thank you both again for making our first ever caravaning experience a one that we shall never forget. Ps Trevor if you want to look after Stanley next time that's ok with us ??

Pleasant November stay

Enjoyed an excellent 7 night stay. Been here 10 times before. Well placed for visiting York on the Park & Ride. Site is well laid out and is very well kept. A few minor niggles : access road is always in a poor state of repair with many potholes. Also WiFi is pathetic. CClub really needs to sort this. Some road noise. Other than that, an excellent site. Will certainly keep visiting
