Perfect location for York

As the other club site in York was full, I was booked onYork Beechwood Grange site which proved to be a good place to stay. Beautiful surrounduing, very helpful staff and the Monks Cross Shopping Centre has a P&R area especially for motor caravans. The P&R bus takes approx. 10-15 mins to the city and runs every 10 mins. Certainly 5*.

Always a great stay!

This was our third stay at the site spending 3 days for Christmas shopping. An excellent site and so easy to get to with helpful, friendly wardens. The site is really well maintained and collecting leaves and cutting the grass was an impressive attention to detail in mid November! Only the weather was below par. Monks Cross shopping has really improved and much better we felt than the Designer Outlet. So combined with a trip into York an ideal way to get ready for the festivities.

Newbies to Caravaning

Our first ever caravan when you have researched Mro,Mtplm, noseweight, kerbweight, train weight, snaking, watched you tube videos of cars being pulled down hills by there Caravanyou will understand the stress I've been under ?? Our first trip could not have been better a mild November and then to meet an absolute gentleman Trevor and his wife.He assisted us pitching up and assured us everything was fine he also scored a prize with our dog Stanley (the bulldog). Site was very clean and also very peaceful all the staff could not do enough for us and made us so welcome that we will be returning before Christmas. Hope you both enjoy your biscuits and thank you both again for making our first ever caravaning experience a one that we shall never forget. Ps Trevor if you want to look after Stanley next time that's ok with us ??

Pleasant November stay

Enjoyed an excellent 7 night stay. Been here 10 times before. Well placed for visiting York on the Park & Ride. Site is well laid out and is very well kept. A few minor niggles : access road is always in a poor state of repair with many potholes. Also WiFi is pathetic. CClub really needs to sort this. Some road noise. Other than that, an excellent site. Will certainly keep visiting

Another relaxing stay

Just had our 3rd visit of the year to Beechwood. Lovely site with friendly wardens. Monks Cross shopping centre only one and half miles away. Care needs to be taken on the roundabout on road in. Facilities block a little dated but always spotlessly clean.

Fantastic site you must visit

First time we have been here and we went for the October half term holidays. On arrival we was greeted with a smile, very helpful and pleasant. We pitched up on clean well looked after pitches. The toilet block and showers were always immaculate and well maintained. The site itself was a great location 2 mins from park and ride to get into York.  We was at the side of the A64 so that we could go to the coast and plenty of supermarkets around for groceries.  My 3 children loved it on here, the play area was great and they had fun.  The wardens Pat and Trevor wow we couldn't have wished for a more Helpful couple.  They made us feel so welcome and nothing was a problem.  They did a fantastic Halloween party for the all the kids on the site and had lots of party games and prizes.  Which was free of charge and they didn't ask for anything. I couldn't have wished to meet a more lovely couple than them. I will definitely be coming back to the site and thank you so much pat and Trevor for making our holiday the best xxx

Convenient, Friendly Site

Stayed here a few times. Love the site as its not very far from York either in the car or on the park and ride. Very friendly and helpful wardens. Facilities always kept immaculately clean. There is a bit of road noise during the week from the busy road. Will definitely be returning.

Very good location, very friendly site.

We found the site very convenient for York, park and ride 5 mins away. Although we didn't have any children with us, there is a very good play area for them. We had a bit of difficulty with our Tv, we I asked the warden and within half an hour he had it sorted ( I was being a bit thick), thank you. We will certainly return. Thanks again. Ian F.

Peace and quiet in York - honest!

Once you manage to locate the place it really is an excellent site, but don't rely on the Caravan Club's Avtex sat-nav to get you there..........unless you are into off-roading! ..... follow the instructions in the Club's site guide book - very carefully. Ideal for exploring York via a £9 taxi ride organized by the site staff, who could not be more helpful and friendly. Superb and spotless facilities. Highly recommended. John & Sharon K.
