We looked forward to seeing the changes and we weren't disappointed, great toilet block, nice big pitches. Friendly welcome from the wardens when we arrived, the route slips in the information room are very useful giving info to park and ride etc. We went into York to see the hot air balloons and visit the food festival, also visited the Yorkshire Air Museum which was very interesting.Even the weather was good too us. The site was full over the weekend with lots of children playing but this didn't stop people speeding on the site roads, the wardens always point out the speed limit but some don't listen or don't care.
Pathetic wi fi
This site is excellent in all aspects except its pathetic wi fi. I can't believe in this day and age that it could be so bad. It really is like the first days of the Internet with speeds so slow it really is not worth purchasing.

WOW What more is there to say
We thought this site could not be topped, but WOW welcome back York Beechwood Grange bigger pitches, beautiful new facilities and the peace and quiet of this wonderful site is fantastic.
The one thing that topped our visit was the wonderful warm welcome from the wardens who are on hand all the time and make you feel you are the only ones on site with their care and attention.
Even though this site was full all the time we were there it still felt peaceful. Will be back again in a couple of weeks and counting down the days. Once again must be one of the clubs top sites. WOW

Spacious, peaceful and brilliant new shower and toilet block
Really spotlessly clean. Good playground for the children. The field specially for the dogs so they can have a run off the lead is great, this feature should be on more sites.
The new shower and toilet blocks are stunning, I didn’t think this site could get any better, but it has! Thanks for a lovely long weekend!
5* Great Site - Great Wardens.
This is our favorite site, and with the refurbishments and new look its just got better.
Of course what makes it even more special is the warm, friendly welcome from the wardens, they are without a doubt the hardest working and most pleasant we have experienced.
The site is great and we look forward to many years visiting it.
Great work to all at Beechwood Grange.
An amazing weekend
What lovely wardens at this site so nice to see you again we enjoyed our weekend so much and realised how much we have missed coming to the site whilst it was closed. Cant wait to return in two weeks time. Thank you again for your kindness shown.

Ideal for visiting York or area
Stayed week before Xmas. Was very frosty glad we had Aquaroll Jacket. Excellent play area for grandchildren and drag walk excellent. At other times would be inconvenient not being able to walk from site with our dog. Close to Park n Ride for York/shops. Just off ring road do can easily get anywhere locally. Wondering what the club can possibly do to improve it. It's perfect!
Beware Price Increases when Site reopens
I think members will be in for a shock when the site reopens. There are price increases of up to 25% per day for a couple. Check it out.
A successful quick break in York
We've visited this site before several times and have always enjoyed it. The wardens are SO friendly, welcoming and helpful. They are always happy to stop for a chat and a joke but they get the balance exactly right; when you're in a hurry to get on they seem to know and don't bother you. This site feels to be in really safe hands with them. It's well managed, facilities are kept in working order and immaculately clean, and it appears to run like clockwork.
I've read some of the previous recent reviews on the removal of trees and this is truly a case of one man's meat being another man's poison. I was SO sorry to see how many trees have been taken down from this site. I appreciate it's November and the leaves are off mostly down now so the place will look bare anyway, but it has been made so much worse by the removal of these trees. I dread to think what it will be like in full bloom - so sparse and bare. The site enjoys access through well established deciduous woodlands and itself had a wonderful coverage of greenery which not only helped attract wildlife, but also provided some screening from the road noise. The A64 is close by and the site needs all the baffling it can get. I don't understand why what appears to be such savage cuts have been made to a site which is after all called "Beechwood Grange" Please don't take any more down. The site will lose the very feature that attracted us to it in the first place!
