I have just spent a lovely 10 days at Yellowcraig cc after not being there for over 10 yrs. I had forgotten what a nice site it is and will be back soon.
The site entrance was tidily groomed and welcoming and the reception from the on duty warden was warm and welcoming. The reception stocks a few varied items however it is only a 10 minute drive to local shops for Food purchases etc.
We were given the usual pitching instructions and went off to find a pitch. The site being fairly busy we eventually chose a pitch overlooking the fields at the back and while manoeuvring the van into place (tight squeeze but our choice of pitch) the warden strolled past and gave us a hand to finish off pitching which was very thoughtful and helping.
The site itself is well kept with a large effort obviously being put in by the wardens and assistants to keep it as tidy as possible with ample waste disposal and recycle points.
The toilet blocks and washing facilities were clean and tidy (apart from where visitors had not bothered to clean up!) However they could do with a modernization.
A dog walk is available just out of the entrance and consists of several well cut paths and a large exercise field with ample Poo bins (So why do some people not clean up after their dogs?) Plus there is a Doggie wash on site!!
A little further out of the site entrance leads you to the beach and a large children’s play area and great walking including the John Muir way. North Berwick itself is only a 2.7mile walk via the glorious beach and makes a good round trip with a stop off for lunch in town.
Buses trains and taxis are available locally for those not wishing to drive further afield
All in all a very Well kept well located site for those looking for a relaxing Holiday but with plenty of walking and things to do not far away if required.
p.s. TV signal fine with a decent aerial good service for 3 and ee mobile users
Lovely holiday
We have returned to Yellowcraig. The site is well kept, and peaceful although gets busy at the weekends. The site staff are excellent and very helpful.
Unfortunately we had poor weather which kept us on the site more than normal, which meant that we noticed that there was still no wi-fi available (you should make this very clear in the site description). The only other downside was that the showers are starting to show wear and need updating, but the wardens do an excellent job on keeping them spotless.
The dog walk is excellent and it's nice to be able to give the dogs some freedom and the beach is close with easy walking distance.
Thanks

Our stay at Yellowcraig
We really enjoyed this site as its is quiet and peaceful.
Plenty of room between the pitches and shower blocks spotless
Wardens were helpful and friendly without being intrusive and the nearby sands and dunes were perfect for the dogs.
North Berwick is a lovely little town and very close by .
Sadly the weather wasn't very pleasant which kept us indoors more than we would have liked and tv reception a little interrupted at times.
Please be aware that no Wi Fi on this site.

Super Relaxed
Recently had 11 night on this wonderful club site. It was pretty busy at the weekends but during the week was lovely and peaceful. Toilet blocks clean as a whistle and the wardens are Fantastic ( very helpful and couldn't do enough to help) the weather was tremendous for all of our stay . Loads to see and do and the Dog loved all the walking.....Brilliant ??
Always a wonderful stay
stayed for 2 nights at the start of a round Scotland trip. The wardens are so welcoming, the site is clean and well thought out. Perfect for us with our dog brilliant dog walk and the beach on your doorstep. The weather was wonderful so what was not to like?
A pearl - off the grid
With easy access to some of the most stunning beaches, Yellowcraig is a pearl of a site. Well laid out in circular hubs from the central access road, the site provides something for all ages - beach, birdlife, coastal walks and nearby pubs. The wardens and deputies welcomed us with friendly efficiency and took time to speak and help. Congratulations to them. As a child-friendly site, those seeking a quieter location may chose to pitch on the secluded outer hubs to escape wayward parents and their ubiquitous children. Do be aware - no wi-fi and intermittent mobile signal! We recommend the beach walk to North Berwick, followed by tea, coffee and cake with the delightful Mary at the community shop 91 High Street - a place where those suffering internet withdrawal can access the illusive wif-fi!
Half Term Break
This is an excellent site, the wardens are superb provide a very good service and the location is perfect for Children. The location is very safe, provides a Children's play area and also a really good play area is located in the wood opposite the site entrance.
The castle at Dirleton is well worth a visit and I would recommend the food at the Castle Inn. A great location for touring East Lothian and North Berwick is a very pretty side side town.
FAB BEACH
A great location beach is fab when the weather is sunny you feel as if your abroad. Site is great very friendly great toilets and hot showers. we will be back our dog loved it. The ship inn bar in north Berwick is very dog friendly great food. this caravan park is 3 miles along the beach front to north Berwick but well worth the walk
