Had arrived a day early to inclement weather up north and had to cancel and asked if we could come a day early.
On arrival was given a list of pitches available and to take our pick.
Small shop which sold only essentials, could have sold a few more treats as no other shopping facilities for miles.
Great to be able to take my 3 dogs on to the beach to stretch their legs without getting frowned upon
We had another great stay at this site. We enjoy the peace and quite of the site. We have stayed at this site on a number of occasions over the last few years and have never had any cause for complaint. It's a great site. The wardens are very good at keeping the site presentable and the toilet block, as always, is up to Caravan club standards. We always enjoy a walk along the beach.
We returned, last visiting in May, to the most warm welcome by all the Wardens. They were obviously delighted to see us back. They helped with a pitch suitable for my 8 year old daughter who has additional needs, and were most helpful with her - very refreshing - thank you.
We were met by an abundance of flowers, which were obviously well tended. Toilet block, as usual, was spotlessly clean.
Toilets are open longer, the shop is open longer, and these two items, although small make a huge difference.
Lots to do around the area including: castles, golf, walking, shopping in North Berwick, cycling and so much more!
Will be back again, without a doubt.
For those who like walking with variation to the walks, this cannot be beaten.
The site layout is random which is excellent and loses the air of regimentation often found.
a definite 'return to' site.
From being greeted at the reception by name by the warden (checked my reg number as I pulled up) to the cheery farewell, the wardens were fantastic. On arrival I was asked by the warden if we were looking for a quiet pitch and were directed to a lovely little 5 pitch area that was just like a CL. The best of both worlds a site catering for young and old families and although our stay was bang in the middle of Scottish and English holidays if you choose your pitch to your preference then this is a great site
The wardens go the extra mile, nothing to much trouble had a lovely few days here end July not for anyone who likes the quiet, it is a lively site and great for kids, 3 minute walk to sandy beach great walks for the dog. Loads to see in the area so will be back, absolute bliss no wifi and mobile phone.
Excellent site and superb wardens very friendly and helpful, even lent us spare dog bowls when we arrived without ours. Plenty to do in the surrounding area, with easy access on foot, public transport or car. Beach is lovely and Direlton is picture postcard
Excellent welcome, help and just the right beginning for a short break by wardens who are a model of best practice who help make it a pleasure to be on the site. Facilities are clean and well organised, very good for children & dogs (not for the same reason). Beach is great, sure it was school hols so lots of bikes, but all that I saw were ridden well enough, we had a quiet corner and our two grandsons thought the whole thing "cool". Out of school hols it would be excellent for long beach walks for the 'old ones' like me.
This is the quietest site we have ever stayed on and not too far from home. Very popular with families as loads to do for kids, beach, sea, playpark, walks and rabbit chasing. Toilet block a little tired and in need of updating, but very clean and nice big shower cubicle. A fantastic beach close by and lots of great walks, watch out for the golf balls when walking alongside the golf course FORE!!
