lovley week

Our first visit and was not disappointed. How every thing was nice and clean in the toilet  block and the other facilities.  Site is very well looked  after, the wardens were very helpful  nothing was a problem. It's  a dog's  heaven ,dog walk very good nice and clean with  the exception  of the odd lazy people not picking  it up. Fabulous  waking  from site, will be back.

Great first Visit

We have just returned from a very enjoyable 3 night stay here this was our first visit here and we weren't dissapointed. The site is well laid out and unlike most CC sites most of the pitches are on grass and arranged in little Cul de Sacs. The toilet block is a little dated but was always kept clean by the wardens. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area with the beach only a 5 minute walk away. The town on North Berwick is 5 mins by car and has a good selection of pubs and shops also the harbour area is very nice. Also nearby is East Fortune Air musuem and Edinburgh as well as the town of Berwick upon Tweed. Overall a great site in a good area and we hope to return soon.

Best 3 nights so far

Chose the site as it was relatively close to home and wasn't disappointed. Location perfect. 5 minutes drive to North Berwick or 5 minutes walk to the beach. A good fly fishing location within 4 miles, so long time visitor, George told me. (got lost and found it after 12 miles) Great for kids with 2 play areas. Will definitely be back.

First Visit

Lovely site, quite even though busy. The friendly relaxed staff were only to happy to help. Great to get away from the internet for 5 days. Facilities were very well maintained. We will be back.

Another great site

Visited here for the first time, and found it a very nice site. Enjoyed local area, too. Interesting town North Berwick, with plenty of cafes etc. Played golf at Glen GC;highly recommended! Cheap day ticket on the train to Edinburgh. Beaches, walks, excellent meal at the Open Arms hotel in the village. We will return!

Short Stay at Yellowcraigs

First time on this site for a two night break. A very busy site but the way it is set out does not give the impression of a busy site. Toilet facilities were clean. Staff were helpful. Pity there was no internet access but that did not detract from the enjoyment of the break

Super break

Second visit with our motorhome. Both times the wardens were very friendly and we had an excellent pitch. Very close to beach and a super adventure playground (also one on site). Next year we must try to stay for longer.

Ideal quiet location for Edinburgh

What more can be said that has not already been said before. It was the first time for us on this site and we absolutely loved it from its location, tranquility and pleasantness of all the staff. Lovely walk into North Berwick along the John Muir Way which takes a leisurely stroll of about one hour. Drive in and park for free in the many side streets and take the train into Edinburgh which takes approximately half an hour. Ideal location and facilities - will definitely come back.

Ideal beach location

This is our second visit to Yellowcraig. The beach is a short walk away and the facilities are brilliant, good clean hot powerful showers and nice friendly staff. The site does get really busy and during our stay was full. We were in a quiet cul de sac location so was nice and quiet but on looking for a pitch we did see large groups of children a families socialising which I would imagine would be noisy if you were sited in these areas. Edinburg tattoo is brilliant and a must North Bewick about 3 miles away nice little town and about 1 mile to the right from ware road  is a pub which serves great food and is great value but you will need to book in busy periods. Overall great stay and can recommend this site.

Relaxing

First trip to this site, pleasant staff upon arrival and found site to be very peaceful and quiet with a good layout. Short walk to clean sandy beach, facilities were kept clean and tidy. Very limited phone signal and poor tv reception but that made it a more relaxing stay, and will definitely be back!
