NO GAS

I would have given this site 4 or 5 stars overall, as teh wardens were very plreasant and the site well maintained and tidy. However, there is NO GAS on this site which is not very helpful to members, neither is this mentioned in the handbook. Apparently teh wardens took this decision themselves and the club have just accepted it. With a new failed booking system and now NO GAS, what is going on with the club. So enoy the site, but just remember to turn up with full bottles of gas.

Lovely site in easy reach of London and many places of interest.

Stayed here because it was close to family and allowed grandchildren to have a sleepover. A clean and well laid and and maintained site. Received a warm welcome from Katie on reception who remained cheerful and helpful throughout our visit. Woodland walk adjacent to the site enjoyed by us and the grandchildren. Note- no play facilities for children. Some helicopter and other light aircraft traffic but not overly noisy and would not put me off staying here again. Short walk to the Crew Cafe at the aérodrome (5 minutes) - Open to the public offering breakfasts and light meals from 1000 to 1600. 15 minute easy walk on the flat to the Biggles Restaurant run by 2 Italian men. Comprehensive Mediterranean menu. Huge choice, great quality and very good value. Highly recommend this but ensure to book for lunch or dinner as very popular! Visited Denham old village which is very quaint with 3 lovely pubs close to each other and enjoyed a lovely lunch. Just 2 miles from the site.

Disappointing

This is a little gem of a place to stay, the location near to London and Heathrow airport is fantastic. It was a super easy booking in process and your pitch is allocated by staff. The staff were superb, very welcoming, friendly and informative. The site was immaculate and the 2 wardens obviously work very very hard to maintain this very high standard. We were booked in for a 3 night stay but at over £55 a night for 3 adults we quickly shortened our stay to 1 night. Also the behaviour of some members was very questionable, the two dogs belonging to one outfit were continuously off lead and running around the site, when the owners went out the dogs were left and even chased after the car as it left. There was a large amount of washing draped over fences, bushes etc. In the morning the Police were on site and after speaking to the wardens spoke to the occupants of this pitch, however after a short time left and the occupants remained. This is really not my expectations of what should happen on a club site.

Awesome site / Wardens

Such a pleasure to be back touring . Not been at WYATTS since 2019 …. Me and my wife Joanne love this site - it’s a great location for exploring and above all we love the fact it’s close to the Denham flying school ( great helicopter and light aircraft flying school 🚁✈️ ) PLEASE EXPECT AIRCRAFT NOISE ⚠️ HOWEVER it’s not too intrusive where you need to get your ear gear on 😂 ABOVE ALL ❤️… We’d like to thank lovely & warm welcoming WARDENS Sal and her husband 🤗… these guys are so unique in their approach and so welcoming , we’ll miss them so much as they mentioned they were leaving …. Such a privilege to have met them 🤗 Will return again … it’s one of our favorites and the flying lessons are great . Big ❤️ And all the Best to the wardens Sal and her hubby 👍🏼✅c .

Small site ideal for touring the area

First impressions, lovely little site, very quiet ...... until the irish travellers turned up !! to be fair to them, they pretty much kept themselves to themselves, the two families across the way from us arrived back at the site about 5ish were joined by a third family and sat outside chatting in this glorious weather, TILL MIDNIGHT !! not only did they talk and swear loudly there was 6 kids of varying ages screaming and shouting, a couple of the children were toddler age still in nappies running around, obviously the parents were too busy chatting to notice one little girls nappy was full and needed changing, the mother screamed at an older child to look after the younger ones, had a repeat performance the next day although they finished about 11.30pm, made Lorraine the warden aware but her hands seemed to be pretty much tied, we were invited to move which tbh would have been pointless because there were another couple of traveller families dotted around the site, they moved off site and the ambience around the site changed, we remarked about this to the warden, she advised there was a possibilty they would return, which they did two days later, one of the men drove a 22plate silver crew-van and also a 22plate motorhome which was now back on site, but I then observed him dragging a caravan in as well and no sooner had they pitched that he drove off again and returned dragging a 2nd caravan about 30-40 minutes later !! Not sure if thats in the rules.... anyway long story short, I won't stay there again because of the possibility of an irish traveller presence several of the members I spoke to said the same thing, in fact was of them was so unsettled by them that he was going to continue his extended stay at Henley site, I've stayed on other sites where there are travellers but the Irish ones are a breed apart, no consideration at all for anyone else

Lovely stay

A lovely site with access to London, but rural enough as on the edge of a reserve. It is right next to an aerodrome, so you do have plane and helicopter noise, but only in small doses. In fact a light bite at the Crew Cafe at the aerodrome is worth the short walk. You can watch the planes taking off and helicopter practice. There is an in and out area. The wardens were lovely and very friendly. Recommended the Crew Cafe and the local Indian takeaway that delivers to the site. The food was exceptional. Really well cooked and no heavy grease. Site is well run and clean. We will definitely return.

Excellent little site

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at this little gem. The wardens Sal & Steve were friendly & helpful & worked very hard to keep all the facilities spotless. The jubilee party they organised was brilliant & we enjoyed the fizz, games & the laughter with other members. Well done Sal & Steve a credit to the club. Although we didn’t venture into London we found plenty to do locally. There is some noise from the small airfield next door & that information is on the site details. It didn’t bother us, we actually enjoyed all the activity.

Lovely clean site in great location

Had a great stay here from the warm welcome from Sal and her husband (sorry cant remember name). Lots of information given at check in, including the lovely Indian that delivers to site. Site is very clean and tidy with lovely dog walks on the doorstep. Wardens were always happy and cheerful and very polite. We enjoyed watching the helicopters and small planes coming into land on the airfield across the road, and they stopped early evening so no issue. You can walk over to watch them close up and have something to eat at the cafe. Great for access to places, our neighbours had gone to Wembley for the football.

Three night stopover

Three night stopover in between destinations, fully aware of the not arriving before 1pm thought we had timed our journey well planning to arrive approx 1.30pm. Had absolutely no traffic problems or holdups on journey even on M25 and therefore arrived on site 9 minutes early. We were not aware that the entrance was shared with a mobile home park and that it was a single track road. Went to the reception, which was closed and a Warden approached from the site and I immediately apologised for being a little early, to be met with him shouting “did you not read the sign” again I apologised and as we were blocking the road and there was a motor home behind us i asked if we could enter the site and wait, reply “pull up to the barrier and at 1pm i will let you in”. At 1.01pm the reception opened. I have never had such an unfriendly and rude “welcome” on any site in over 40 years of caravanning and will never return to this site. Also the helicopters next door fly past 11pm at night so was not what you could call peaceful. If this is how this club is now asking the wardens to behave maybe we will not renew membership after many years of being very happy members.

Ideal for visiting London

This was a great find for going into London or Wembley which is on stop away on the train. Will definitely use this site again, clean and tidy with top toilet and showers couldn’t fault a thing. There was temporary staff covering the usual site manager and they wasn’t the most helpful but it didn’t spoil it
