A hidden gem

We have stayed here a couple of times and have been impress each time.  You come to expect a certain standard with Club Sites this one meets and exceeds all expectations.  The facilities were refurbished at the beginning of 2015 are kept by the wardens immaculate, such that you feel you are the first to use them, could club members help keep them this way by tidying up behind them and reporting any faults they find or cause.  There is a small airfield across the road which can during the day cause some noise.  The only reason I didn't give 5 ticks for family is that the site is compact and quiet andyou may feel that your children could disturb others, not that I have every had a problem and my 5 year old granddaughter loves the site. The wardens are lovely and go out of their way to help you enjoy your stay.

Great Caravan Site for those visiting London

My family and I had a good three day break this site, it was clean and tidy, the warden was very helpful. This site is just right for those wanting to visit London or surrounding areas such as Windsor. The access to the site was excellent and very easy to find. Not really disturbance from the near by air field, we intend to use this site in future for all London visits.

Helpful staff!

We had a lovely welcome when we arrived and plenty of advice about travelling into London via train & tube. This was our second visit to this site & I must admit that there was more noise from the aircraft, especially the helicopters, than on our previous visit, but it soon became background noise. The site was very well looked after and extremely clean and well cared for, I can't fault the wardens helpfulness. Thank you!

Lazy people

Fantastic wardens who could not do enough to help. Lovely showers and loos. Please make sure you look at the directions for the site, which we shamefully did not, and ended up going down a very tight lane with only very small passing places. The proximity to the rail line for travel into London is wonderful. Had a great time, but our only gripe is the amount of lazy people who absolutely refuse to walk around the road area and cut right across pitches just to save seconds. Not very nice when you are sat outside and they get so close you can practically touch them. Weird. This is becoming more and more prevalent we feel.

Revamped Wyatts Covert

My first stay here since the new new toilet block was opened - very nice! Extremely handy site for London and the area west of the city. Site and pitches immaculate. I'm well used to the noise of the adjacent airfield by now - even the helicopters! We've already booked our next stay.

if you dont like helicopters engine noise?

Immaculately kept site by the wardens. The toilets and facilities are 5 star. As is my title there's a helicopter training facility close by and upon times can be quite overpowering with the noise. In fairness I obviously expected some noise. The approach road up Denham Green Lane is of concrete and it'll give your caravan locker stowage a testing time.As previously mentioned in earlier review's this is ideal for overnight and trips into the city. Good parking at Denham station.

Great Facilities and helpful warden

This was our first time in our motorhome and the first time we have stayed at a Caravan Club site, so I can only compare it to other campsites we have stayed at in a tent. The site was fairly easy to find, although it helped that I knew the area as I grew up near by. There are 2 directions you can get to the site from but the Denham / Uxbridge end of the Tilehouse Lane is MUCH easier than the Chalfont / Rickmansworth end. When we arrived I explained to the warden that it was the first time we were staying on a Caravan Club site and he was very helpful. I patiently explained all of the rules and gave me advice on setting up. He then followed us to the pitch and again helped us. The shower and toilet block, as has been mentioned in other reviews were fantastic! Very, very clean, hot water all of the time, consistent temperature, never without loo roll. The whole site was very clean and tidy and clearly well looked after. We didn't suffer with the noise from the aerodrome, yes there were planes and helicopters flying overhead, but they weren't at it too early and it's kind of expected if you book into a site next to an aerodrome. The only slight downside was it didn't feel particularly child friendly, in the sense that we were very aware of our 2 daughters making too much noise and disturbing people as there didn't appear to be a lot of children playing. This is probably partly due to the size of the site, there isn't a lot of areas for children to pay. Overall I would definitely recommend it and would stay again, particularly if we didn't have the kids with us

Friendly site

Lovely, small, friendly, beautifully kept site, toilets best we've seen. Spent couple hours at Aerodrome across road watching planes and helicopters. Approach road not good, nor footpath to Aerodrome. We live locally and love coming here just for a weekend.

A little gem

Stayed here this weekend (arrived Friday, left Sunday) and found the site first class. In fact I think we should expect ALL club sites to have similar toilet block facilities to those found here. They are on a par with the 5 star sites in Germany.  The site is small with 50 or so pitches and is kept immaculate by the lovely, hard-working wardens. Yes, there is an airfield nearby and yes, the approach road is not exactly a billiard table (have you ever been to Kendal site?) so if you don't like either of them, don't book it!! It will leave more spaces for when we want to return, which we shall, because it's perfect for getting into London. Park your car at the nearby station (All day parking £3.50 after 10am) catch a clean, quick train on an All Day ticket for £13.70 return (including Underground/Buses and Trains) into Town. We arrived back at the site a little after midnight and instead of going through the barriers and driving to our pitch, we parked at the car park and walked to our van, thereby allowing others to sleep. Just common courtesy don't you think? (yes, you know who you are!) So, a great little site and I haven't even told you about the magnificent restaurant situated on the airfield......another little gem!
