First visit

We enjoyed our visit to this site. We were visiting family in the area so it was convenient for us. The site is very clean and tidy, the facilities are at the expected standard for club sites. The wardens are friendly and welcoming. Some noise is to be expected from the nearby aerodrome. We have dogs and there is an excellent wood next to the site for walking them. The site is situated on a bus route and is convenient for visiting London. We would use this site again.

Excellent site, ideal

Having stayed at many Caravan Club sites across the UK I suggest that this site is absolutely fit for purpose, i.e. visiting London and the surrounding area and as such is one of the best in the network. It is fairly small, compact but very well laid out, excellent facilities and spotless. The wardens Mr and Mrs Gillabrand are efficient, pleasant and very helpful, just what wardens should be like and the reception area decorated with their lovely plant tubs etc., is a reflection of the effort they put into the site. Yes it is near an aerodrome and there is aircraft noise at times but not at night and there is nothing much for children to do on site. Our only criticism would be the showers, strange as the toilets blocks are modern, yet the showers are a little small and limited in number. That said this is a top class caravan club site.

Great location to visit London and Windsor

Great site to visit Windsor and London.  Denham station with half hourly trains in to London Marylebone is only a mile and a half away and an off peak travel card giving you train and tube is very reasonable. It only takes 30 mins in to London. There is cheap car parking at the station.  The facilities are recently refurbished and are clean and warm.  Nice friendly and helpful wardens (it was relief wardens whilst we were there).  There is a good Indian Restaurant in Denham and they will deliver take aways to the site.   For a city break with the peace of the countryside to return to each day you can't beat it. (The aerodrome noise is only a problem during day light hours and to be honest we were out most of the day)

More than a trip to London

Just returned from this site, spent 3 nights here, lots of fog so no helicopter or aircraft noise. Site was very quite yet almost full, yes its great for the train into London from Denham station (about 20 min walk) but we also found time to walk and cycle around Denham old village and Denham Golf Club along the Grand Union Canal, so lots to do, will be back very soon.

A Very Comfortable Site

I used to live near Slough and this site is ideal for visiting the area. The refurbished toilet block is excellent and we have stayed here in all weathers, form summer sun the several inches of snow. It is very well located for London and yet you are clearly rural. There is plenty to do within a reasonable walk and we have always found the wardens to be very helpful. The recommended entry route avoids the bulk of the narrow Tilehouse Lane- so abandon your Satnav!

Lovely site - but!

The site is well run, very clean and quiet. You don't even know you're close to London. However - the access road is extraordinarily narrow. We have a motorhome and tow a car behind and unfortunately we came up against the only bus that runs every two hours to the site. We had to unhook the car and reverse that back before the bus could move past. We couldn't move forward due to a brick wall.  Also apparently residents use that particular road as a rat run. They drive extremely fast and expect you to move over when there is no room to manoeuvre. That being said, the site itself is so idyllic and well kept that I would stay here again. Might unhook the car at the bottom of the road and follow the motorhome instead of towing it the last mile and a half.

London base

We found this site ideal when travelling from the West Midlands. We endorse all of the previous reviews, it it very clean and tidy, the Toilets are superb and there is noise from the nearby airfield. If you are going into Central London I would point out that the Oyster card does not apply from Denham station, so be careful. We were advised to travel to Hillingdon (15 mins) by a TFL Station employee where parking was available every day (£6 per 24 hrs). We preordered a zone 6 travelcard which gives unlimited travel within the Oyster controlled area on Overground, Tube, Buses and DLR. Overall, apart from the aircraft noise (Worse at weekends) this is a wonderful site in a nice location.

Good base for short breaks

Chose this site as a base for visiting various attractions, including Bletchley Park, Hampton Court and St. Albans, over a six-night stay. Spotlessly clean, especially the (new?) washroom block/indoor washing-up area. Easy access to major routes. The shopper bus into Windsor is great, picking up within the site. Yes, there is quite a lot of noise from the local aerodrome, especially helicopters, and the various aircraft can affect the TV reception. Good fresh fish and chips from Stoby's in Denham. The wardens are very helpful, but are unable to sell much in the way of provisions due to the very small reception area, so stock up before you arrive!
