Good site for a stop over and for London. Access roads in bad condition and they really are cupboard door openers in places. Local airport can be noisy at times with pilots training on Robison helicopters...
Great little site
This is our second visit to this site, we stayed here so that we could visit Chessington and Thorpe Park, we also visited the Roald Dahl museum. it is an excellent base to travel into London from the nearby Denham railway station. The site is easy to get to as it is only around three miles from from the M40 and M25 motorways. The nearby runway is quite busy in the daytime but is quiet by early evening, I actually enjoyed watching the planes and helicopters from the site. The toilet blocks have been improved since our last visit and were kept clean and tidy by the wardens, the site has no play area for the children but is a great site to explore the area.
Great for London
Used this site twice now for trips into London. Perfect place close to the station where returns to London are about £7 return. Close to a local airfield which can be busy but not for anything more than helicopters and light aircraft. Site on a quiet road so stick to the instructions about arriving and leaving. Site team lovely and helpful.
big gem
having stayed there the last two years, for family reasons,we find the site brilliant, on entering the site the wonderful floral display, cleanness of the park at all time, shower block always spotless, but most of all the wardons, they are very accomadating, and can not do enough for you, very pleasant people.hope to return again on more pleasant time.

Little Gem
Despite its proximity to London this site is precisely what it says covert. It is down a leafy lane and but for the nearby aerodrome could be in deepest Lincolnshire.
It is handy for London, Windsor, Lego land Thorpe Park, the new Harry Potter and at a push Chessington. The staff are friendly but unobtrusive and the facilities are very clean. I have been three times now and will go again
Wyatts Covert -surprisingly nice
I used this site as I was visiting my daughter who lives nearby. I didn't really expect too much because of its location and was pleasantly surprised. It is very well run, clean and more spacious than I expected. The wardens were very busy as the site was full but were very nice and helpful. It is well suited for anyone visiting London and there are numerous rail and tube stations nearby. The airport noise wasn't at all bad and it is quiet at night. Will definitely be returning
Clean and friendly
This was our first visit to Wyatt's Covert and it is a lovely site. The site is fairly easily accessible from the motorway – though do take care along Denham Green Lane - the road is narrow and the surface is appalling.
The site has a newly refurbished toilet block which is kept spotless by the wardens and we were impressed with the facilities.
There was a lot of noise from the nearby airfield, mainly from the almost continual landing and taking off of helicopters. The light planes were barely noticeable with all the helicopter movements – we may have been unfortunate as we also had at least one helicopter “racketing” around during the night.
So, a very pleasant and well kept site and if you are away during the day the noise from the airfield should not be too much of an issue … enjoy.
Layout of site does not work well. Really not that quiet.
A well placed site to use as an alternative to the expensive hotels in London. Easy to get to from the Western side of Londons motorway networks. That's the good part. However while we have stayed here many times previously, the noise of the adjacent airfield really was intrusive in particular when aircraft and Helicopters were idling / doing engine checks before take off. Have they moved where this is done on the airfield? Lots of jet fuel fumes waft across the caravan site at this time. Not just once or twice but continuously throughout the day.
Last issue (and what prompted the review in all honesty)that was apparent during the stay was the poorly thought out 'one way' entry into the site. The site should use the central spine of the site as a two way road, to feed traffic into the site. We were blocked twice for quite some time between the wardens office and the end of the first section of the 'one way' stopping us being able to access the majority of the site by inept drivers of towing vehicles trying to maneuver. One might accept an occasional wait, but NOT when there are alternative site road layouts that would suit better. Primary school children would come up with a better solution.
Lovely people, extremely well cared for.
We are new to caravanning, so needed help with some bits. Very helpful couple run this site. The facilities are extremely clean, very impressed for our first experience. As stated in other reviews you are close to a small airfield so a little noisy, but didn't continue at night so slept fine. We stayed here as needed to be at an appointment in Hemel Hempstead about 20mins away, very convenient.
OK.....ish
This was our first visit to Wyatt's Covert and although it is a lovely site, for me there would have to be a reason to stay there - ours was a wedding. The site is easily accessible from the motorway - only use the directions in the book and take care along Denham Green Lane - the road surface is appalling!! The site has a newly refurbished toilet block which is kept spotless by the wardens. The pitches are level/hardstanding but many are non awning pitches (blue peg). Of those, some are quite small so if you have a larger outfit, your choice might be reduced during busy periods. There is no dog walk on site but there is a wood immediately adjacent which more than serves a purpose. The big downside for us was the noise from the nearby airfield. The light aircraft were tolerable - it was the helicopters landing and taking off that made sitting outside quite unpleasant. To cap it all, in between flights in and out, model aircraft enthusiasts made up with their remote control helicopters swooping over the site. There was also the ever present roar of traffic from the M25. However, if you're not planning on being at the site during the day, then it's a great location to go off out sightseeing in London.
