Great Wardens

We stayed at Wyatts several times over winter and early spring and each time the wardens were very friendly and helpful.  Very clean. Hardly notice the noise from the airfield. Easy access to London. Our favourite site close to London

Hot Sunny Stay in May

The weather for out 4 day stay has been fantastic the site is well maintained and clean the wardens were very friendly and helpful. Yes the site is very noisy due to the close proximity of the airfield which is busy every day, night times were OK but it didn't bother us as we were out all day at Windsor , Hampton Court which are about 30 minutes from the site. We did spend a couple of hours at country park walking along the canal. We did have a tea leaf visit us couple days,we couldn't make out why the dog biscuits kept going missing from the dog bowl we finally saw the culprits which were 2 magpies which also used the other bowl which they used to bath in it was a pity I didn't have my camera handy to take some pictures. Would I go back to this site again certainly it's placed in good position for London and other locations. The local bus does call in to the site but there are only a few journeys a day also we noticed that a bus called in to go to Windsor on Saturdays on the notice board one journey in each direction.

Aussie Tourists.

We had a great stay. Lovely amenities were much appreciated. There is a bus service to the station and the morning one is fine but the afternoon one is much too early which leaves you with an uphill walk back of 25-30mins which is very wearing after a full day in London. There is a taxi but when we got there after 6pm it was a 45 minute wait. The noise from the airfield was minimal and none at night. The planes at night were from further away. If you need to stay outside of the London emission area as we did it was perfect.

London Trip

spent 10 nights here. Excellent, High Standard of clean facilities as always on a club site - you know what you are getting every time. Near enough to London and other attractions, easy to get to and from. Little noisy during the day/early evening but I like aeroplanes and helicopters so it didn't both me. No play area for the kids to meet up and not a huge site to "play around" I have to agree with a previous reviewer - we wanted to put an awning up as it was a 10 day stay but not enough pitches available for the duration we wanted, but small motorhomes taking up massive pitches for a few random nights... Not the sites fault but a general club and member issue - I feel a separate email brewing.... All in All I would recommend for a short stay/visit to London area.

restful

I used this site as i was working night shifts in the area for 3 nights, which unlike the caravan and camping club this didn't seem to be a problem. On arrival i was meet by a very friendly, happy, and helpful staff member, who pointed out which pitches where available and after choosing which one  i wanted i was given a swipe card for the automatic barriers and was left to get myself set up on my chosen pitch. The site is very clean and tidy and the toilet block was spotlessly clean and tidy, and the showers were very warm and clean, with lots of hot water which you can control the heat by using the control lever instead of the push button types which you find on other site's, the only down side to this site is the air field across the road  with the consent noise of helicopters taking off and landing but after a while you get used to it. Will be using this site again

Just back from this site

Good all round site. Well looked after by the friendly wardens. My only negative comment is that club members who book an awning pitch and have no intention of erecting an awning should consider other members who would like to book an awning pitch but are unable to do so because there is a limited number of awning pitches available on this site

October Half Term 2015

Have used this site on previous occasions, being only a short distance from the M25 travelling here is excellant if you time it right. The relief wardens were very welcoming and helpful, the site being up to usual Club high standards having had the toilet/shower block recently refurbished. You do get a bit of aircraft noise from the small airport nearby but the helicopters seem to be mostly used at commuting times. Bought Oyster cards for the whole family to use the Tube to get into London which proved more cost effective than the train, you can park at most of the smaller stations nearby. Will certainly  be back!

Excellent!!

We have just returned from a short stay at this site and we have got to say we came across the most warmest of welcomes from the wardens, really lovely people and go out of their way to speak to you. Very clean and tidy site and ideal for our visit to Legoland. Have booked up again for later on in the year.

A different type of site.

Booked on here for 3 nights a couple of weeks ago as we ( and another couple who also stayed ) were competing in a 'Fun run' at Dorney Lake (Eton). Much better than expected. ( i.e not as noisy as we thought it would be.....just the helicopters running like taxis on Friday evening.!) Toilets excellent. Wardens friendly & helpful. A nice (but muddy) walk in the woods right next door, ideal if you have dogs (we do). A good Indian takeaway in Denham. (just being lazy..) Overall we were impressed enough to be going back again later in the year. Just hope the local roads get resurfaced sometime soon.

Good base for visiting London

Used the site as a base for a short break in London.  Excellent location.  Easy to get to from M25 and Denham station 5 minutes drive away.  Just over £13 for an off peak return to Marylebone complete with all zones tube. Or allow half an hour for walking to the station plus there are a couple of buses from the site to the station. We weren't expecting peace and quite given the proximity to the M25, Heathrow and Denham airfield.  So there were no nasty surprises on that front.  In fact the main noise was from helicopter traffic.  But didn't cause us any problems. Some of the pitches are quite compact.  We have a fifth wheeler and there would definitely be some pitches we wouldn't be able to get on to.  But all are level and gravelled. Facilities on site absolutely the tops.  Some of the best toilets and showers we've experienced. Really great site wardens who were very helpful.  They had compiled a nice circular walk from the site to the nearby canal and a pub that serves good food, especially Sunday lunch. The site met our needs perfectly.  It's not the place to go with young children (unless it's just a sleeping base) or if you're expecting masses of space and greenery.   As mentioned by Lynndy, the roads around the Denham area are absolutely appalling.  Take it easy and watch carefully for pot holes!! Will definitely use this site again for any London trips.
