We arrived late on New Years eve in the rain but could not have received a warmer welcome (and a mince pie to boot). We had had a problematical journey but the warden stayed in touch with us which was so reassuring. The site was spotless, facilities fabulous and it is a great location if you want to go and explore London. We were just staying the one night this time but will definately return.
Handy
We have recently spent two more one-night stops at Wyatts Covert as we find it very handy to break long journeys from our home in Norfolk. We did once use the site for a few days as a base for visiting London and this was very useful as the railway station is not far away.
The facilities on site are as you would expect on a club site, which is to say spotless, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
My one little niggle is noise from the nearby airfield, although this doesn't continue late into the evening.
There's a wood next to the site which is wonderful if you travel with your dog, and still pretty nice if you don't.
If you're staying longer than we did, there's plenty to see within reasonable driving time.
We will certainly be using this site again.

Great friendly site for London
Stayed in October last year lovely warm welcome from the wardens very clean site well maintained, and level pitches. Great location for the train station or a 10 min drive to Uxbridge or Hillingdon to catch the tube. We will be back this year for our annual London visit.
Not the quietest site!
We stayed recently for 4 nights, using it as a base to visit friends and places in the area. As I said in the title it is not the quietest of sites due to the close proximity of an aerodrome. This is used for light aircraft and helicopters both for normal flights to/from and also for training. But don't let that put you off as night-time brings peace and quiet.
There is a bus service terminus at the site that takes you to Windsor on a Saturday taking about 1 hour. Bus passes for senior citizens are accepted. Other bus services are available but we didn't use them, the Warndon would however give you that information. All pitches are level with no chocks needed. Some road corners are quite sharp and keeping off the grass needs a little skill and care. Try not to use the lanes in the area as they are quite narrow and the locals drive at quite a speed.....my experience.
The wardens were great with a very warm welcome on arrival and all facilities clean and well maintained.
Served a purpose
I needed to go into London for personal reasons and decided to go down in the motorhome and stay on a convenient site. Wyatts Covert seemed to fit the bill. The site itself is not exactly a relaxing site IMHO, as it's next to a busy airfield, with quite a few aircraft and helicopters taking off and landing. However, that didn't bother us, s we're both quite interested in aircraft. I had read in the reviews that there were a number of workers on site, who tend to leave quite early, that did bother me somewhat. So on arrival, I mentioned this to the warden, who was very helpful in pointing out where most of them were pitched, and showing me a pitch well away from that area. As a result, we weren't bothered by early leavers, which we appreciated.
It took us about 20 minutes to walk into Denham and to get to the station, and from there to Marylebone, where we changed to the underground. Coming back again was very easy.
In summary, I don't think this is a site where I'd go to for a relaxing break, but it served the purpose we were there for very well.
Usual club standards for toiletblock, and the male warden on arrival was really nice.
Fantastic friendly site
The welcome at this site was fantastic. The wardens went out of their way to ensure you had a good break and could not have been anymore helpful, If only the welcome was like this on every site. There was noise from the airfield but I was expecting this and I have to say I did not find it at intrusive. The facilities were kept very clean. Wi-fi worked well during the stay which is not always the case and so I was pleasantly surprised as it is a bronze rated site. I will be back next year i had such a lovely time.

Ideal for London attractions
Yes the aircraft are noisy but you soon get used to them. Perfect for the Harry Potter studio tour, less than 20 minutes away. London was easy by train and very cheap and only about a 20 minute walk to the station. The wardens were very friendly and very helpful with good local knowledge. The site itself was very clean and very tidy.
If you want Peace & Quite.. not a place for you
Site is in an excellent location re the major road networks and is a small but comfortable site with good amenities. Within easy distance of Windsor and Eton and other large Outer London towns but expect the road networks to be not a tranquil driving experience as you have to have eyes in the back of your head (well it is Outer London). I recommend a visit to the Chilterns Open Air Museum about 20mins drive from site and you will get peace and quite here. The only draw back with this club site is the sometimes excessive noise from the adjacent airfield from the light aircraft and helecopters whose flight path is over the site but it stops between 8pm and 7.30am so its not a site to visit if you want to sit reading and relaxing during the day. Vehicle movement on site is also a problem well before 8am and some members are very noisy at these times and do not think of others.

Very pleased
Pleased with the site and very pleased with the warden who was very helpful when we arrived late. All was very clean and tidy and the noise was not noticeable when we were in .Went to London on the two days we were there and it was very reasonable went from Ruislip and went on the tube. Very pleasant stay.
Great for london
Site is small and clean very helpful warden
Definatly follow the site directions not your sat nav as it's tight for the last bit
Travelling to London is cheap and easy ..forget the overground from denham it's expensive
A short drive to ruislip park for 4 quid and take either metropolitan or picadilly line to the centre of london .
There is noise on site from the airfield but didn't bother us however if you park near the back of the site you will be woken by the waste recycling site from 7 am
Also a few inconsiderate campervanners firing up at 6 and leaving engines running
Overall can't get better for trips to London
