Great for a short visit to London or nearby attractions

We enjoyed a four day visit at the start of the Easter holidays and experienced absolutely no unpleasant disturbance to a very peaceful break either from workers or aircraft. There were no workers evident; this could be attributed to the Easter school break or the CMC taking some action to prevent it. Either way, the only people there appeared to be there for leisure. Whilst there was some noise from the aircraft, I booked the site expecting it so can have no complaints in relation to that. The noise ceased about 4pm anyway so no big deal at all. Nice flat site with good size pitches and the usual outstanding toilet and shower facilities. A short (1.3 miles) walk into Denham saw a 20-35 minute (dependant on which service you took) train into Marylebone. and at £26 for the three of us with unlimited tube travel in London, good value too. There is car parking at the station but no MH's in excess of 3.5t permitted unfortunately. Walking in the area is through lovely countryside but spoiled for me by excessive road noise from the A412 so I never felt that I was rural, which was a shame. As my title says though, a great location for visiting London and other attractions nearby but in my opinion that's the only reason to visit and having stayed at both, Crystal Palace is a better location.

Great for visiting Lego land and Harry Potter studio

This site was ideal for our two day trips, it position central to accessing Lego land Windsor and Harry Potter world, both 30min drive from the site. The site has the usual club standards and the wardens there were friendly and helpful. The pitches are quite small which means that you have to park your car in front of the caravan if you have an awning. The site is situated near a small private airfield, used for helicopters and small aircraft. As we were out for the majority of the day, this did not bother us. The kids actually enjoyed watching them. I would definitely visit again due to its location.

Very friendly and clean.

A very warm and friendly welcome when we arrived at a spotlessly clean site. Stayed for one night whilst attending an event at Wembley stadium. Easy access to London by train from Denham, 25 minute walk to the station and then a 15 minute trip to Wembley or 25 minutes to Marylebone. Dog friendly with some local footpaths into the countryside which we could explore further. We will definitely return, with further trips to London or up to Henley.

good site and good wardens

Been before but could only stay just one night this time. Very helpful and friendly wardens on a small well kept site. Some noise from local airfield and it is only in the day, not early or late. Miles of walks and cycle rides all just outside the site, Really enjoyed it and lots still to see next visit.

a dog walkers paradise

This is the first time we have visited this site and the second time we have been to an open all year site. Both seem to have a large amount of pitches used for workers who come and go and all times of the day disturbing people who are there for a break. Some of the bigger pitches have been taken by the workforce leaving very few for the caravan cluber. As we were near an airfield you are going to get noise but that was only during the middle of the day. The site is brilliant if you like waking and have a dog. We would like to return again but with a lot less workers based there, it does seem the the open all year sites seem to cater for workers more than holiday makers.

AS OTHER REVIEWS, THIS IS A PLEASANT SITE, BIT EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT IS THERE, IT IS NOISY BUT NOT AT NIGHT YOU CAN GET A GOOD SLEEP, IS HANDY FOR LONDON AND DENHAM VILLAGE HAS LOVELY PLACES TO EAT AND DRINK. THE SITE IS ALWAYS LOVELY AND CLEAN AND WELL KEPT AND IF IT WAS NOT FOR THE LOVELY WARDENS PAUL,MARIE AND MARK I DOUBT WE WOULD STAY THERE THEY DO MAKE IT A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE

London location =) London attitudes =(

We stayed here for a weekend in low season in order to go to a show in London on Saturday evening. As others have said, you want to give the Tilehouse Lane approach a miss - not only because it's narrow but because the potholes are so bad they will damage your vehicle... We slowed down to a crawl but still managed to destroy two shelves in our caravan fridge and detach the shower head bracket from the shower wall. This problem needs to be made clear at the online booking stage because no-one reads the handbook any more. The welcome we received from the gentleman warden was alarming to say the least; having been held up in traffic (not surprising on a Friday on the M25!) we were running a couple of hours behind but kept the site informed by phone. However when we arrived the warden walked up to the barrier shouting about us f***ing taking the p*** turning up late, and almost refused to let us in the site at all. Once allowed onto the site we felt threatened and uncomfortable whilst pitching our caravan in case we made any noise and disturbed the warden again. From then on our experience improved somewhat; the lady warden was friendly and polite, the site facilities were clean and modern and we had a pleasant 30-minute walk past the airfield to Denham station from where it was 21 minutes by train to Marylebone. We got a cab back from the event in London but asked to be dropped off up the road so we didn't disturb the angry warden again. We made a sharp exit on our final morning and I very much doubt we shall return to Wyatts Covert.

Not totally a leisure site

We have just returned from this site from a weekend stop over and have to agree with previous comments about business worker use. Not only is the early morning noise disturbing but some of the units are so neglected and closed up that we thought they were in storage. This site at present is not reserved for "leisure" purposes and this is against the spirit of the Club. The problem is that it is so obvious. I have now drawn this to the attention of the Club so we shall see what is done. Valid points about the lane and your Sat Nav taking you in the wrong way. Airfield noise of helicopters and light aircraft but nothing can be done about that. Lovely woods adjacent for walking and well kept, clean site with friendly wardens.
