Lovely stay

Just back from a 5 night stay at Wirral Country Park. The site is lovely spotlessly clean. No showers at moment due to COVID but toilets and basins all clean. Love the in/out band system in place for loos. Lots of nice walks - west Kirby and Park Gate both really nice for a leisurely walk either along beach or Wirral way. Didn’t make it to the pub but looked busy x

Lovely spot

A fantastic site, close to home which was good for our first outing, great views across the estuary to Wales, close tot he excellent Wirral Way which is good for walks or cycling, easy access to Chester or Liverpool. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, even lending us a water barrel as we forgot ours ( school boy error). Highly recommend the fish and Chips on a Tuesday Night and the site is lovely and quiet

Hidden gem

The Wirral might not be as well known a place to visit as other seaside places, but it has fantastic scenery and lovely walks, including the Wirral Circular Trail which passes the site. There is easy access to the local attractions of West Kirby and Parkgate, as well as the cities of Liverpool and Chester. The site itself is peaceful, with mature trees, views over the estuary and friendly staff, all of which makes it a fantastic place to visit.

Stunning Location

First visit to this site but it will not be our last; what a stunning location! Overall we could not fault this site. The staff are all lovely and friendly. We had a wonderful welcome, great communication throughout our stay and all smiles for our welcomed return. The site is so peaceful and quiet, apart from the sound of birds - a must for bird lovers. The site was spotless, regular maintenance is clearly underway to keep this site looking its best. All staff are meticulous at keeping everywhere clean (just wish some campers would wipe up after themselves!) The location to the Country Park, is right on the doorstep! We had never been to this area and were astonished at the natural beauty along the estuary. There is The Wirral Tail to follow which is well maintained and delightful for walkers, cyclists and horse riders! Take a picnic, fluids and a good pair of walking boots as it goes on for miles!! There is a play park on site but not having any children with us we can only assume this site is suitable. We would take our grandchildren. This site is a must go to - put it on your list of places to visit! Thank you Wirral Country Park, see you soon!

Prime location

This has probably become our favourite club site. Location on the top of the cliffs overlooking the Dee Estuary and Wales is fabulous. The sunsets are amazing. The site is well set out and pretty for the most part. Walking and cycling opportunities are endless in the area. The beach at the foot of the site is very scenic, a bit stoney but there are nice Sandy areas also. There are lots a Of great places to eat and drink within relatively short distance of the site. West Kirby is lovely and there are plenty of other interesting places to visit in Wirral eg Port Sunlight, New Brighton and Parkgate. Liverpool and Chester are only a 30 minute drive away. This place has got lots going for it.

Fantastic location

I spent 12 nights here, 4 nights of which on my own with 3 dogs and thoroughly enjoyed it. The site is perfectly located for access to the wirral way. Access to the beach is 1/2 mile either direction. Spacious pitches and some spots overlooking the Deep. The Wirral as a place totally surprised me, so many lovely places to visit. Hilbre island, west kirby lake and beach, New Brighton, leasowe & lighthouse, crosby beach a bit further away. Plenty of places to eat in Heswall, Irby and West Kirby especially Lilys kitchen (thai), and zeera (indian) were our favourites. Would highly recommend this site and will visit again.

Lovely site

We arrived during a deluge which lasted 24 hours. It was not until daylight when the rain stopped that we realised we were very fortunate with our pitch and the fantastic view over the estuary. The lady warden was super friendly and the anti Covid 19 measures excellent, and truly appreciated. The site is very spacious and comfortable feeling. It is no reflection upon the site, but some doggy owners are not aware that their beloved pets are not so beloved by others. Facilities were very clean and we loved the location and feel of the site so much we asked to stay another night. It is a short stroll to a very well used former train track which led us to West Kirby and the water front. Super site: loved it due majorly to our excellent pitch.

A lovely stay

This was a return visit for the first time in about 4/5yrs. Loved the improvements of the cul de sac to the right of the barrier, our favourite place to pitch. Lovely warm friendly welcome from the wardens who incidentally have the site looking great. Shame some people can't adhere to the rules they have in place for Covid, e.g. No Entry signs being ignored. Also as on other sites & my biggest bug bare, why are people still cutting through pitches? As usual the Wirral way was great for walking as was the beach. Shame the visitor centre was closed but understandable at this current time. The cafe that was formally GJ's, (can't remember it's new name) had good Covid safety procedures in place. Had a great stay & wont be leaving it as long to return next time.
