An excellent site. Very likely to visit again.
Great for resting, cycling, walking, views, visiting nearby towns.....
My new favourite site!
This is our first time at this site and I have to say it is wonderful!
On arrival the reception staff (Val) was super efficient and very friendly. Even gave us early indication of what pitches should be available to help us make an informed decision on our plan of attack.
Site it kept in excellent condition with absolutely lovely views onto the Dee Estuary.
The wirral path is just outside the park and is great for a safe stroll with the dog.
Certainly recommend turning right and heading to Flissys coffee shop!
If you are looking for a break from the hustle and bustle and just want peace quiet and the sound of nothing more than mother nature this is the place to be.

Lovely site
Stayed here for 3 nights lovely clean site and great pitches with fantastic views over the river Dee and to north wales. Wardens were lovely and friendly has dog walk just outside the site and easy access to beaches and Wirral country park will definitely come back again. Fish and chip van on tuesday night was great too.
Fantastic First Time
It's our first night away in our newly acquired van and I think we couldn't have picked a better site to start our adventure. Good size for us to start with . We are just retired and decided to take our 8 year old grandaughter with us on our first esapade ( wisely or not ) . Easy to get to for us, in the Midlands . Had the advantage of being right by the coast( estuary) which was great for an evening of beach combing . The site was well laid out and we had a grass pitch with awning furthest away from the facilities , which wasn't far anyway . Lots of hedges and greenery . Play park was small but just right for our little one who managed to mix and make a few friends . The greeting from the warden or assistant warden was warm and welcoming and it was quite nice to see them wandering around the site in the evening chatting to geusts . The range and quality of facilities surprised us ( as non campers ) . The toilets and showers were exceptional and clean . We had no problems in using these and are a credit to the team looking after the site . We are pretty keen to head back for a few more nights , if there's is room that is . Only one gripe as a newby - would have been nice on arrival to be allocated a pitch or give a choice of piches rather than go and find one that isnt being used .As newbys we ended up driving into a number of areas thinking there was a pitch available only to find that we couldn't see a white post with number on and it wasnt a pitch at all . This isn't a big deal but we felt that we were being a nuisance to those that had piched up to see us driving in and out etc . Whereas simply giving us a map with maybe half a dozen vacant pitches marked on it at the start, would have been a help so that we could head to where we at least know there was one available . But this is being very hyper critical and maybe us being a bit sensative as newbys.
Brilliant site with a great team looking after it and definetly recommend it to anyone who wants to go in this area .
Back again to one of our favourite sites
Another great stay with so much to do for our 6 yr old grand daughter on this very clean and tidy site. The fish and chips on a Tuesday were very good and the facilities were spotless as usual. The warden team were very friendly and got us out of a sticky situation on the Wednesday night when the wind suddenly and unexpectedly got up and nearly blew away our porch awning whilst we were across the water in Liverpool. They rang to let us know and also stowed it under the van so we didn't have to race back.
Vale Park well worth a visit for the fairy garden followed by a delicious ice cream from Caffe Cream at New Brighton. Was a little surprised at the amount of people exercising their dogs around the site instead of taking them along the Wirral Way opposite the site entrance. Is this a new fad or due to the large number of small dogs now in circulation? Not sure, but didn't spoil our break.
Last minute surprise!
I arrived on a Saturday, having only booked a visit to this site the previous day (for various reasons!). As this is only an hour from home, I rang the previous day to see about bringing an extra vehicle in addition to my motorhome. Val was extremely helpful and friendly, and this was continued the following day upon arrival when we checked in. This is not a massive site, and it was very busy, but it had a lovely feel to it - plenty of children and families around, but not excessively noisy and actually sound seemed to be capped by about 10pm. The site itself was clean and maintained - the facilities were excellent. The views over the estuary were lovely, and the beach walk under the cliffs was great for the dog, as was the adjacent country park. Having a car with us made getting out and about very easy, with plenty to see - and lots of information available on the site. Really enjoyed this visit, have already recommended it to friends, and will definitely put it on the agenda for a return visit.
Great Short Break
Enjoyed our two night stay on this very pleasant site with views over the fascinating Dee Estuary. Be prepared to see more sand than water! Ideal for walkers, cyclists, dogs and families with trails straight from the site. Wardens were very friendly, helpful and hardworking! Site was full but everything went smoothly. Plenty to do around the Wirral for a short break, some lovely places: Parkgate, Thurstaston, W Kirby, Hoylake, Port Sunlight and the amazing Gallery there. Plus Cheshire Oaks designer outlet (but too busy for us this time probably because in school hols). Also plenty of pubs and other eating places within a short drive of the site. Fish n Chip van visits Tues.
Good site for cycling and walking
We had a grass pitch that stayed solid underfoot despite a full night of rain. We did become a little concerned when we realised how close our pitch was to the crumbling mud cliffs, and there was evidence that some fencing at one point in the site was falling down the cliff. Apart from that issue the site is an excellent base fir a few days walking and cycling. The Wirral way and other footpaths It is also possible to travel further afield by public transport, or car if you have one. Fliss cafe and ice cream shop was handy for some refreshment after being out all day. Overall a very good site for exploring the Wirral.
