Enjoyable weekend

Easy access through scenic villages. Friendly and helpful wardens especially the assistant wardens. Fantastic site with beautiful views. Nice beach walks. We will definitely return to view more of the surrounding areas and attractions. Next visit will be for more than a weekend

Excellent site

Had a very enjoyable week's stay, playing some great golf courses nearby, and a trip via the Mersey Ferry to Liverpool. Site and loos were in excellent condition, and wardens very friendly and helpful. Location is superb, quiet but with plenty to see and do in the area.

Excellent place to stay

We had a pitch with a lovely view over the Dee estuary, beautiful sunsets and the North Wales coast across the water lit up at night. Lovely area for walking, beach nearby. The warden was also very helpful in enabling us to have a pitch with a view and our preferred choice of grass pitch.

Good Location

Nice area like the site but untidy with long grass in place and chippings from hardstandings  all over the road.

Good location

Not a frequent visitor to Club sites but this one had a brilliant location with walking from the site a bonus. Our dog loved the seashore walks, the Wirral way and the parkland. We took a train into Liverpool for the day but need a revisit or two to do that justice, plenty of cycle rides along the dedicated cycleway and a good breakfast at the nearby cafe. Ño nightime traffic on the road nearby so guaranteed a good nights kip and good choices of pitch for morning sun, evening sun or shade. Very friendly lady warden who's a credit to the club, all in all we really enjoyed the stay.

A great site for walkers

This was our first visit to this site and we really enjoyed our stay there. We took advantage of the cheap rail/ferry/bus ticket from West Kirby to Liverpool and really enjoyed the day out.The facilities are a bit dated but were kept clean enough. When you approach the site it appears a little scruffy at the entrance with fallen leaves and chippings off the hard standings littering the roads.By contrast the static caravan parks, that you pass on your way there, appear to be pristine.Perhaps earlier in the year the site appearance may be easier on the eye.We would definitely return to this site mainly because of it's excellent location on the Wirral.

Enjoyable

Arrived at Wirral CC on a fine September Friday, found a pitch with little bother, all estuary view pitches already allocated, not deterred found a suitable pitch, fantastic dog walks, on the beach also along the disused railway line which now forms part of the country park, Wardens very friendly, toilet block clean and tidy. Looking forward to our next stay.

Good site, lovely location

Stayed here for 5 nights and it was our first visit. Wardens were very friendly and helpful. We were not lucky enough to get a pitch with view of estuary but that didn't matter. We enjoyed many walks in the area, along the beach, cliff top, in the park and on the Wirral way. You are spoilt for choice. The dogs loved it. There is a great café on the road before the site on the edge of the park which did lovely cream scones! Very handy for Chester and Liverpool.  Nearby Heswall and West Kirby have a good selection of shops. All in all we enjoyed our stsy and will be back.

Usual high CC standard

Great location, lovely views and very helpful wardens as we've come to expect from the Caravan Club. The road leading to the site entrance has some vicious speed bumps (nothing to do with the CC), but once you're on site, this inconvenience is quickly forgotten. One point I might mention is that when you've positioned a motorhome over the grey water disposal point, it isn't as easy as it might be to remove the cover. It would ideally have the handles fitted so that you don't have to reach under the vehicle to lift it off. But that's a minor niggle in an otherwise great site.
