Lovely 4 night break, just as good as our last visit. Wardens keep the site immaculate with wonderful flower containers at the entrance. Very peaceful site but would definitely benefit from an additional shower/toilet block as its quite a hike if you pitch at the far end of the site and the site only has one chemical toilet emptying point which created a queue most morning's. Despite previews reviews we didn't think the existing facilities were outdated at all. Perfect location for visiting the many attractions nearby and fantastic walks right from the site. We will return.
WE have come here 7 times now to give this site a title ( total Bliss)
Seventh visit in 8 years speaks for itself, fantastic wardens who put a lot of work into making this site beautiful, plenty to do here, Take a picnic and flask of coffee, get the ferry 10 20 from seacombe to Liverpool and you can spend all day at pier head and still not see it all ,don't forget Chester Zoo another full day out, ellesmere Port and the boat museum and many more things are other options ENJOY.
"Recommend seacombe ferry terminal for easy plenty of room free parking"
Great site.
Stayed a couple of nights on this lovely site - will be longer next time. Tranquil peaceful site with good walks. Our pitch had a great view over the estuary which is a bonus. Facilities were good and nice and clean and the staff were pleasant and helpful. Will be going back for longer very soon.
Red Hot Stay
My Wife and I had our first visit to this site in June. We spent to nights which unfortunately was not enough. Tried to book I extra night but was all booked up. Had we known how nice a place it was would have booked more nights in the first place, however we will be going back. The pitch we managed to get was ideal overlooking the Dee Estuary perfect. the weather on our visit was spot on , that with our surroundings could not have been better. The shower/toilet block was fine however I agree with previous comments that an upgrade would vastly improve it, that said the staff keep them to a good standard and they are kept clean and tidy well done. As we only had 2 days we were unable to get around to see all that the area had to offer hence the reason we will be going back. The local walks we did were great and the wild life we encountered was magical.
All in all a great place to visit look forward to going again in the near future.
Peace and tranquility
We have been to this site on a number of occasions over the past twenty years or so, it's location, peace and quite still makes me want to go back again and again. The views across the Dee estuary are amazing. Walking is a pleasure and so many places to visit.
If I were to be really critical, the toilet block could be upgraded, not so much as condition but in size, this is a very busy site and just four showers are not really sufficient, but don't let that put you off, the overall experience is a pleasure and well worth a visit.

A Peaceful Haven
A distance from the main road and only the odd sound of a wading bird in the evening, makes this site very peaceful. It is further enhanced by the lovely views over to north Wales when it's not too misty. Added to that the opportunity to walk to West Kirby via the shoreline at low tide makes this a wonderful site for peace and 'escape'. Alternatively, a great train service (4 per hour) from Hoylake if you need to get to the station using a motorhome /camper van, or from West Kirby if you walk, cycle or car, gets you to Liverpool in half an hour for a bit of site seeing and offers a variety of things to do. The toilets and showers are clean and functional, better than many a Non-CMHC site and the lovely staff make this site an absolute pleasure.
Fantastic
Beautiful picturesque site in great location for walking, cycling and eating out. Staff are friendly, extremely hard working, very helpful and go the extra mile. Can't fault the site and the staff, we love this place.
Wirral in the rain
Nice site, toilets are clean but dated. The roadways are not in very good condition, problem with standing water after rainfall. The club could improve this site with minimum effort. Some of the pitches have lovely view over the river, many more could be given better view with some better thought out design. Nice cafe a short walk up the Wirral Way track which was flat easy walking
A wet stay......
I would agree with previous reviews. The surface water flooding was a nuisance and the closure of the toilet block could have been a problem for those with no 'in-van' facilities. However, the staff coped well and continued to smile throughout. This is a picturesque site, even in the rain, with good access to the beach and footpaths for dog owners.

Fab site let down
This is a lovely site in an area we have not explored. Unfortunately yes it rained and rained. The site does not seem to be able to cope and large pools formed. I agree with others this site needs investment the facilities require bringing up to date, they also flooded while we were there and had to be temporary closed. May I also state some members do not know how to clean up and leave them after use.
The staff worked very hard to look after the site. It’s a great place to visit.
Come on caravan club get your fingers out and bring it up to the standards we deserve. Your letting it down
