First caravan holiday

This was our first ever caravan experience in our first ever caravan. The wardens were very welcoming, and quick to organise some extra assistance with our first levelling experience - much appreciated. The site was very well laid out, and pitches seemed well spaced. The toilet block was fantastic, always clean, plenty of showers / cubicles .... Much better than anything previously experienced. Location was good for beaches and local areas of interest. Would definitely recommend this site / wardens and will be returning for another enjoyable stay.

Nice clean site

The site is well laid out, very clean, with some views and an example of a good toilet block layout. Shame about the wind - all of the time with storm straps a must. The wardens are very friendly and helpful.

Great Wardens!

Having just arrived home after an 8 night stay we found the site up to the normal standards for the Club. Very windy so you will need storm straps! What I found great was the fact that we were already to leave when hitching up the caravan, found to my surprise that the 13 pin lead would not fit!! After mucking about for about 45 mins I was going to bite the bullet and get some expert help so went to the office to see if they had some numbers for a mobile engineers that could help me with my problem. When explaining what was happening the chap said that he had had this problem himself and found on the internet a tool that realigns the pins and as they were cheap he had bought a few. Needless to say this cured the problem and I was on my way a lot happier than I had been. I found these items on ebay for about £4 which is what the warden sold it to me for. I think this is a vital bit of kit and everyone should have one in their kit! Once again many thanks to the folks at the site

Whit week

Typical tidy club site you could be anywhere really, I only really stayed here because I had a few vouches to be rid of, its just as windy here as the Ilfracombe site which I prefer because of A great dog walk on site B about half the price and C the pub down the village is far superior to the the plough (golf club) and the fortescue arms (dead after nine-ish and the carvery is overpriced and poor quality) enjoyed my four nights here but I doubt 'I'll be back !'

improved site

this was our second visit to this site and the improvement to shower block were great with great hot showers with plenty of room The wardens were very friendly and helpful. our kids loved the playground the only negative was for our first couple of days there was a gang of older children who were probably too old to use playground and were unsupervised were causing a disturbance on playground will definatley be back

Willingcote in May

We have just had 8 nights at Willingcote. The site is very well kept and the amenities are spotless. We had the week before Whitsun week and so the site was quiet. Three close pubs, for me the Plough at the golf course was favorite and also the cheapest. You should not be put off by comments about the approach lane, it is narrow but there are plenty of passing places and it is only a few hundred yards of long. Mortehoe (Just under 2 miles)is a nice little place with two good pubs and a Fish and Chip shop(Closes at 8.00pm). Lee bay is very nice and free parking narrow lanes but worth a visit. Only downside is a long walk to Woolacombe beach.

The Best I have seen

I am now in my 2nd Year travelling around the UK and this place is the up at the top of my list to return the staff were warm and welcoming and were a pleasure to meet. The local area for walking or cycling is safe and transport by bus could not have been easier.

Everything you need.

When we leave we will have stayed here for 6 nights. The site is large and well kept, Wardens all friendly and helpful and the new toilet block is great. There are two places for food and drink, both dog friendly, within a 10 minute walk down a cycle path behind the site. Other great places to visit include Clovelly, Baggypoint, Mortehoe, Croyd, Ilfracombe, Putsborough Beach is all dog friendly too. Today we are off to Lynton and Lynmouth. Unfortunately you can't walk into Woolocombe from the site (only on the road) but you can catch a bus. There is a post office and cash machine in Woolacombe and the Spar garage also does takeaway pizza, though we haven't tried this yet. All in all, great site, lots of dog friendly things to do and after a day out exploring two places for food and a drink only a very short walk from site.

Another enjoyable stay

Have been using this site for many years  Wardens this year are working extremely hard keeping the site well maintained they seemed to be working all hours whilst we were there always looking happy.  If you have not been to this site PLEASE put it on your list you won't regret it if by chance it is overcast on site go down to Woolacombe beach or in land you will find a different world.   Just one thought for members my wife found that one member was very free with her talcum powder in the shower leaving a mess for the wardens to clean up not only that it is very dangerous for other users of the shower. Please be considerate..Thank you
