Peaceful Countryside Setting

Great location for exploring the southern Yorkshire Dales. Quaint villages with excellent pubs serving good food and catering for muddy boots and dogs nearby. We visited the Old Hall Inn just a short walk from the caravan site (remember your torch for the path back!). Also the Fountaine Inn in Linton a little further afield is very good. The site is well looked after by helpful wardens, we were spoilt by the fresh scones, jam and clotted cream they sold for afternoon tea. Plenty of wildlife around, we even had a visit from a deer running past the front of the caravan. Will definitely visit again.

Too many speeding cars

Just back from another excellent stay at Wharfedale .We had a fabulous time and it was only spoilt by inconsiderate drivers who did not adhere to the mandatory speed limit (although we did not have any children with us ) I was quite concerned for the safety of the people who did have children .Having said that, the facilities were excellent and we had an excellent evening meal at The Gamekeeper pub (Monday Steak Night)

It's Yorkshire! What more do you want

Yet another superb stay on this site but this time with the added bonus of two deer in the field behind the toilet block mid afternoon no less! Add this to wandering pheasants, rabbits and attention seeking cat all in gods own country, mix in good wardens and happy campers what more could you ask

Would come again

A very peaceful site with good pitches and plenty of room. The dog walk is good and we even saw a deer whilst walking along the path. The showers may be dated but didn't bother me as they were hot and powerful. The weather was all over the place and didn't settle all week but hey ho, it is the Yorkshire dales in April after all. The pub on site was full and the barman was grumpy but the beer was good, we ended up going to the pub just outside called "The old hall" and had evening meal there and it was very good. Site was clean, well maintained and full of happy campers so its all good from us.

Great Location for seeing the Southern part of the Dales

Excellent site in line with the usual CC standards.

Last half mile, after Grassington turn is a bit tight should you have a big rig and meet a late leaver. Do not be tempted to come in or leave from the north if towing or in large motorhome as it gets worse.

Stayed for 5 nights over easter 2016 and had all four seasons weather a number of times over a short space of time.  Excellent location for Malham and Fountains Abbey.  Lots of great footpaths and bridleways for walking and biking.  Not sure what there is for under 18's.  Didn't have mine with me so didn't need to worry about keeping them entertained.

Had a good, reasonably priced meal at the pub on the neighbouring site.  Wouldn't hesitate in recommending it.

Would definitely consider coming here again.

Great site

Just arrived home from a 9 night stay and really enjoyed the site. Great walks, cafes and pubs. Site and toilet block always nice and clean however toilet block slightly dated compared to other club sites. Wardens helpful. Would recommend the site.

Beautiful Wharfedale Caravan Club Site

Just home after 6 nights at Wharfedale & 4 nights at Hawes. We love them both & go every year. We've been there in several inches of snow (magical), beautiful warm sunny days & wet, chilly days and like this weekend at Hawes sunshine, hail, rain, thunder & lightening & sleet all in one day!!! The locations for walking, relaxing & sight seeing are wonderful & the local shops & markets, cafes & pubs are lovely & mostly dog friendly. The wardens on site are so helpful & friendly & work so hard to keep the sites beautifully clean & tidy. We highly recommend both these sites. You wont be disappointed whatever the weather.

Lovely site, would recommend

We stayed here for one night as a stop over on our way home. The wardens were very friendly, the site was kept very clean and the facilities were great. Having the pub a five minute walk away was a real bonus and the food was superb. The playground was a big hit with the kids and the sun was shining so everyone was happy!
