Crying shame

Love this site visited many times . However it is a crying shame that the man at the top of the caravan club has decided to cut down most of the trees . Total devastation we used to love watching the birds in the trees next to our pitch and the squirrels running up the trees. The wardens worked their buts off trying to get the site back to an acceptable state after the felling felt sorry for them . Also lost a lot of privacy between pitches now. Totally spoilt site.On a plus side loads of walks from site brilliant location .

Excellent first time caravan club stay

Contrary to several reviews we found the site excellent the toilets and showers were clean and warm (December - Grassington Dickensian weekend) and the staff were friendly and helpful. We would and will definitely stay here again. The only bad thing we found was the restricted office hours but it didn't cause any issues to worry about.

winter break

We had booked the site for the Dickensian fayre in Grassington. We were going to arrive before 12.00. I made a quick phone call to the site, we was told it wasn't a problem at this time of year and to turn up. It was 11.30 but we was in a queue of other early arrivals. Check in was quick. We was soon set up lunch over, then off for a walk into Grassington. The next day we caught the park and ride from the quarry. It is £10 per car, however you can walk to the quarry from the site. We did a couple of walks over the weekend. The car never moved from its spot on the pitch. The site is spotless, it looked lovely with a xmas tree and decorations. Will definitely be back again.

3 women on tour

On arrival, we were made very welcome by the wardens. They offered us assistance with hooking up, etc, but we were fine. Very helpful when asked location of pubs, re food service and best routes. Excellent choice of pitches. Facilities as ever, were immaculate and lovely and warm. Great to see the lovely wardens putting up fairy lights in readiness for Christmas bookings. We all loved this site and can't wait to return. Geoff intends to go next week.

Four night stay at Wharfedale

Booked to stay for three night but due to snow in the night before our departure the next day we thought it best to stay one more night. The site is lovely, wardens friendly and shower block clean.we had lunch on three occasions at the pub near the site and all lovely meals. Would go back but maybe in the summer.

Never been fuller!

After being stuck in traffic for five hours from the Lakes to Wharfedale we were relieved and pleasantly surprised to arrive. Our pitch was flat, well away from roads and close to the toilets/recycling facilities. Having booked dinner at The Game Keeper's Inn, we made the short walk through the site to get there. We could not have been more satisfied. The service was fantastic, food immense and there was not a chance of leaving hungry! Should we be nearby again, we will definitely pop in to such a well facilitated and locally supported site.
