Not just a stopover

We have used this site on two occasions now as a stopover on our way south. It is well placed close to M40 and within walking distance of the lovely town of Warwick with its castle, old buildings, pubs and restaurants. The site is clean and wardens are very friendly and helpful. We have now decide that our next visit will be more than a stopover and intend to spend a few days to explore the town and surrounding area.

Added an extra night because we were enjoying the area so much

The perfect weather made this a lovely site to stay on.  Just strolling around Warwick, or taking advantage of the 2 for 1 offer at Warwick Castle, or walking along the canal for a really interesting visit to Leamington Spa. Just three things we did without having to move the campervan off the site.  Bit of background noise from the planes into Birmingham Airport and the local motorway, but nothing that spoiled our visit. Booked for two nights but added a third as there was still plenty to see and do.

Makes Ideal site for Breaking Journey

We often use this site to break our journey, when coming up from down south, I have always found wardens to be helpful and very clean/tidy site.

Noisy

We come to this site regularly. The present wardens are the best we have encountered. They are friendly and will chat to you. The following is no reflection on them. On Saturday 10/09/16. When we came we were warned that there was a festival on the racecourse and it would be noisy. This site is normally quiet. Nothing, but nothing could have prepared us for the din that started at noon. It was awful. Monotonous drumming and vocals without a break. Now at least the club should not charge for that day. If we were not stopping until Monday we would have left.

Somewhere Different

We arrived here only to find the racecourse was being renewed and a lot of work going on, no problem though as the workmen were terrific and helpful. It is quite close to the town centre and the Castle where we had a good time exploring. Only stayed one night but would return sometime.

Lovely site

We stayed here for four nights recently .The site is ideal for Warwick and the wardens are lovely. However can we clarify the review by "dippyhippy" we (and another's around us )did complain about the noise, music and foul language coming from this caravan.I have no problems with people enjoying themselves , but do feel that people should have respect for others and that 2:51 am is far to late for most people to have to tolerate this and it shows a complete disregard for other caravan users .  We and all the other vans around us accepted his friends apologies and I am glad he enjoyed the rest of his holiday ,as he ruined ours !

Motorhome friendly

Love this site and get a grass pitch for our Autotrail Chieftain when there is one available. The wardens maintain an events board which is very helpful. There is a good bus service to Leamington and Stratford.

Little gem.

Visited this site for a two night break. Very central for Warwick centre with lots of pubs, bars and restaurants. The a site is great for dog walking around the racecourse which is adjacent to the site. Peaceful and quiet. Supermarket only a five minute walk. Have already booked again.

Lovely little site

this is a nice if a bit quirky but friendly site, very small, but very friendly wardens were lovely nothing to much trouble, I think they were just covering , we stayed for four nights 18th -22nd aug. It was very close to the town where you could get a bus to anywhere, we walked to the castle, and Warwick town is full of interesting walks. unfortunately the weather wasn't so great so we did leave early, but plan a return visit. We were surrounded by 52 acres of grasslands so it was great for people with dogs
