Another great site

Fantastic Location for all to enjoy Newport, Cardiff and further afield. Perfect for families with the open grounds / kids playpark a short walk out of site back in Tredegar House. As all club sites, facilities top notch with very friendly, welcoming wardens. Only downsides for us are  1 - too close to home  - we wanted to try new(er) caravan without travelling too far knowing the area. 2 - road noise above what we're used to (M4 and local roads) but that could change with a wind direction change so not really an issue and won't put us off for those 'dont want to travel too far after work' weekends. Enjoy all - great site, backed up by fact it was full for a Feb weekend

Annual pilgrimage.

Tredegar House was the first site we visited when we bought our motorhome in 2010. First outing each year is to Tredegar Park,it never disappoints.Lovely walks and convenient to M4 .Its very pleasing to see a site full in the winter ( weekend). The wardens were very welcoming and helpful as always.During our stay we visited Chepstow and drove out through the Forest of Dean.I look forward to next year.Shame the rugby wasn't quite what we expected !! Another Lovely Stay!

Once again we enjoyed a lovely few days at this spotless site! Wardens were so friendly and welcoming. Only half an hour from our home, but it just confirms that a change is as good as rest! Excellent location and good for dog lovers, a huge park adjacent is popular with locals with dogs as well as CC members. Constant hum of traffic from nearby elevated M4 but never too obtrusive. Watch out for recently introduced speed humps after the main gates though, these are quite vicious and all your wardrobe will be on the floor at speeds over 5mph - no joke!! The gates also are locked early evening in winter so again, more fumbling with keys to get back in if you take your car out for the evening.  These are only minor criticisms though, and we look forward to our next stay in the next few months! Lovely stay

We enjoyed our stay on this site in January. Great location. Enjoyed our visit to Cardiff using the Park and Ride and also our visit to the National Museum. May be noise from the road but at this time of year do not hear it!

Very pleasant indeed.

First time on a CC site and very pleasantly surprised. Wardens were incredibly welcoming and helpful, the site is spotlessly clean and toilets warm and of a high standard. The site is set within the grounds of a National Trust Tredegar House which has fantastic space, dog walking aplenty and a play area for the children. Great location for onward travel and a wealth of delights to visit in the Gwent valley.

Close to M4

Up to usual CC standards. Spotlessly clean and well kept site despite the challenging weather conditions. Friendly and helpful wardens who even opened up when we arrived late due to traffic and bad weather. Tredegar House close by in the adjacent park and excellent tea rooms but only open at weekend. Park is good for exercising your dogs. Easy drive to park and ride for Cardiff. Only 5 mins form M4 so good stop over if  driving further. Only down side is being able to hear the traffic from the M4 and the nearby interchange; but honestly only a hum that you can't hear inside van and didn't disturb us. We will definitely use again.

A LOVELY SITE RUN BY EXCELLENT WARDENS

Thoroughly agree with the previous comments. The wardens are the best we have met in over 10 years of visiting caravan club sites, a very friendly welcome and plenty of information, which makes all the difference to your visit. The site is lovely and the park is a joy for people and dogs alike. Yes, there is some traffic noise but it is a minor compromise for all the good points and after a short time you don`t even notice it. Both site and wardens a credit to the club. Looking forward to returning.

Fabulous

This site is a little gem. From the super friendly welcome and spotless facilities to the wonderful grounds draped around the lake, dog and dog-walker heaven (watch out for squirrels). The road is a little noisy, but the good points easily outweighed the only down-side. We will definitely be back.

Doggie Paradise

This is a lovely site for families and dog owners. The welcome was warm, the toilet/shower block spotless and the lovely walks round the lake and through the woods were idyllic despite the mud caused by the weather over previous days. Will be making a return visit very soon. Bird watchers will also love this site. A beautiful pair of bullfinches kept us entertained over breakfast!

Welsh treasure

Whist we didn't pick the best weather for a trip across the Severn bridge, we did manage to avoid the snow! The setting was lovely and our dog loved his muddy walk through the grounds! The wardens were really helpful and the toilet blocks spotless! We will be back!
