Great Easter Break.

This site is very friendly every one seems to greet you with a smile on their faces, facilities are as you would expect spotlessly clean. The only down side is the road noise, but you can't have everything can you. Could do with some sort of a gate out of the site onto the road it was a long dark walk back from the bus stop and the nearest pub. Will try again in the summer.

Easy access and good base for exploring Wales' outstanding free Heritage Museums

Nice clean and tidy site and friendly staff too. Easy access from the M4, and the motorway background hum is not a problem. Staying behind the gates of Tredegar Park is really novel and you walk off the site straight into the Park itself and the National Trust house. Handy nearby fish and chip shop - don't make the mistake of driving there, and if you do, just drive to the car park for Tredegar House and walk through. Huge Asda 5 mins drive around the corner from the site. Makes a good base for exploring Cardiff via the Park and Ride. The Big Pitt and St Fagans Museum of Welsh Life both worth a visit - just outstanding and free of charge apart a few pounds for pay and display parking.

Stroll in the Park

A well-placed site close to the M4, but didn't really notice traffic noise, with extensive parkland around Tredegar House. Didn't manage to crack the rubbish/recycling system but the MSP was very well sited and easy to use. We were basically in transit from W Wales back to the Midlands and this was a very convenient and relaxing stop-over for a couple of nights.

Really Nice Site, excellent location

We visited this site for the first time at the start of the Easter Holidays, we had wanted a site with a park close by as we had aquired a dog who liked to run around a lot chasing a frisbee. This site proved to be excellent for this purpose. Even better was that just outside the site by the park was a play area that kept the kids amused whilst the dog had his exercise! Site wise it was immaculate, with very helpful wardens. The children enjoyed doing the Tourer Explorer trail which the wardens had kindly organised. Toilet Block was kept really clean, although the mens did seem to be rather on the warm side. There is some noise from the motorway, with quite a few sirens at times, but overall this did not affect our enjoyment. Whilst there the wind and weather was pretty awful overnight, however the site was so sheltered we did not feel the caravan move in the wind at all which was good. Would thoroughally recommend this site.

Brilliant Site *****

This was my 4th visit to this site and as always had a friendly welcome from the very helpful wardens. Site and facilities immaculate and being a dog owner the surrounding parklands are an added bonus, even my dog gets excited when l arrive here. Will definitely be back again soon.

A lovely short break

A great little site with excellent facilities, very firendly and helpfull staff and the site was exceptionally clean. A little traffic noise, but it didn't bother us to much as we live on a busy main road. We chose this site to check out our new caravan. Many thanks to our fellow members from Taunton for all their help and advice! Will be staying here again.

A great short break

Everything was great except that after having paid for 24 hours internet use so that we could use our laptop, we found that we had difficulty in using the internet on our i-phones whilst on the site. This was a real nuisance. The problem disappeared as we drove away from the area. I would also agree about the lack of lighting at the locked gates. Had to put revering lights on to assist my companion in locking the gates having passed through them.

4th Stay in 18 Months

This is the nearest CC site to relatives we visit regularly. Taking our Van gives us freedom of coming and going without being dependent upon relatives for beds/meals etc. The site is clean and very well run with very friendly staff. My only gripe is that we always return after the Tredegar House park gates have been locked so have to exit the car, unlock a padlock, swing open the gates, get back into car to drive 10 yards, re-exit car, re-lock gates and then get back into car before driving 600 meters or so before almost repeating the exercise at the entrance to the club site. So what's the problem I hear you ask? Its simply that there are no streetlights at the first set of gates and in total darkness it really is quite scary for those of a nervous disposition. I expect this is not a Caravan Club issue but nonetheless an annoyance.

CONSISTENTLY GOOD

Tredegar House is always our first and last destination of the season (March - October) We have a weekend there to make sure everything is working properly before we go further afield, then finish our outings there to put everything to bed. we could not wish for a better place. It is within twenty minutes of our home, but it is like being away from it all. The facilities are excellent, the wardens very friendly and helpful, and there is everything we need nearby. We always enjoy our breaks at Tredegar House.

Up and under

We stayed at Tredegar Park when we attended the 6 nations game (Wales v Ireland) and have stayed several times before. The site is ideally placed for visiting Cardiff with excellent buses traveling to the capitol every 20 mins. The bus stop for the number 30 service is about a twenty minute walk away at Cleppa Park. Apart from Cardiff there are several things to do within a thirty minute drive and the site is up to all of the clubs standards
