Revisiting after 15 years

We booked a 2-week stay here, choosing a serviced pitch. However the pitch was not available - electrical problems - so we were given another pitch. This was in a much nicer position and right next to a service point. We decided to stay on this pitch even when the electrics problem on the serviced pitch was fixed. It seems strange that the premium serviced pitches are not in a premium position on the site - you might think that your extra £3.90 a night might allow you more privilege than just your own tap and drain - especially as you're less likely to be using the other facilities on the site as you're more self-contained. The four serviced pitches here are next to the wardens' vans, on the entry road, and with no view. There is lots to do around here, despite the rather heavy showers we kept dodging. However, try to avoid some of the access roads around evening rush-hour as we were stuck in queues several times. Wardens were helpful and friendly and Tredegar Park and gardens are wonderful to wander around - when the sun shines!

Redegar revisited

Not the first time at this site , and it wont be the last. Always a friendly welcome and can't fault the site. Whilst you can hear the traffic on the Motorway, I have never found it any more annoying than the wind in the trees on a forest site or the noise of the sea at a beachside site.

Lovely site but noises from road

This was the second time we have stayed here. The first time we were on a hard standing pitch which was great. This time we were on a grass pitch virtually opposite the one we stayed on before and the noise from the motorway was constant and annoying! Obviously not the sites fault but a warning would have been appreciated. Would stay again but choose your pitch wisely!

Tredegar treat

Our first visit to this site and not disappointed in the least. Clean, tidy, all you expect from a club site and locked gates at night to further protect your 'van. Great choice of pitches, hard or grass, open or shaded under trees and a variety of places to visit in the area not least Tredegar House. If you do visit do NOT miss the guided tour of the bedroom areas.....you will surprised at the shenanigans that went on there!!

We have to say a big 'thank you' to the wardens for accommodating us for an extra two nights to enable us to attend a funeral in Hampshire before travelling furthe west in Wales. They couldn't do enough to help us.

Short Stayover

We only spent 3 nights here, our son was taking part in a triathlon nearby and this site was very convenient for that being close to the M4.  Could hear some traffic noise though not enough to worry us. The Wardens were very helpful and the facilities were nice and clean and site well kept. We were able to stroll from the site to Tredegar House and Gardens also to a general store close to the National Trust car park but tucked away. About a 5 minute drive away is a large Asda store and petrol station. Would stay here again.

What a great location

We have just returned from a week at Tredegar and what a lovely site it is.  Not only is it with the grounds of the lovely Tredegar house and country park but it is also such a nicely laid out site although the pitches are flat the site itself isn't flat which makes it far more attractive.  It's a lovely peaceful site and of the usual great clean and tidy standard of a club site.  I would say had the kids been with us the play area being outside of the actual site would be a slight negative point and I don't know if it was just me but need a fairly heavyweight hammer to get pegs into the hard standing for putting up the awning.  That said great access to the country park for walking the dogs and once the gates to the park close because your inside you have the park to yourselves would definitely recommend this site and there are some great places nearby to visit

Pitch in the park

Tradega Park is a beautiful area spoiled somewhat by traffic noise. The house is fantastic and definitely worth a visit. The caravan site is well kept but the toilet block can be a long walk away from some pitches. The kids would enjoy the freedom and the play facilities Tredega offers.

Lovely well kept site

Stopped over for 4 nights while travelling. Traffic noise was constant but we did get used to this and it did not prevent us sleeping. Site well kept and clean, country park a bonus if you have kids or dogs or just enjoy a walk in a lovely natural environment. Wardens were very friendly. Location is great for sightseeing. We would definitely go back.
