Like being able to go in pick pitch and go back and pay.Try to get near toilet block, still crap layout.Service pitches round block which seems a bit daft.As a lot of people have commented not much thought given to access and surrounding area. The Club could have made changes after 1st season but they chose to ignore members comments.
Bands by the doors seemed to change from 6 then 3 then 4.Still saw ladies going in and out without picking bands up.
Poor service but good food at The Bell really nice meal at The Nottingham Arms Wetherspoons if you are really desparate.Tewkesbury area always worth a visit shame site isn't a bit better.
Good location
After coming from a Certified Location this felt like a very busy site and some spots looked a bit crammed in. However the site is very well run and very organised. Great to be able to walk straight into Tewkesbury and the Abbey is amazing, especially lit up at night. Lovely walks along the river and nice cafes and pubs in the town.
Needs Review of pitches
Visited for two nights this last week on our way south. Luckily we booked a no awning pitch ( blue peg) which with the exception of a few are now hard standing brick bases and very good. The few that where on grass were small and difficult to access and had we been later we would have struggled to get a large motorhome on. All the grass pitches were very wet and units had obviously had trouble getting off. I wish the club would reconsider the ability to book hard standing then you know what you're getting and not playing the get there asap game to get hardstanding pitches. This site really does need to get rid off some more grass pitches and provide decent hardstanding. It's such a shame really because it's a well run site, friendly wardens and great Covid cleaning routines. But I would never book a std pitch with awning as all grass. There are also some pitches that are barely fit for purpose, to small and up to trees etc with little room for car etc, these need to be removed.
Hunt the pitch game!
i agree with all of positive comments about this site except for the finding of a pitch.
We have arrived mid afternoon on two occasions and struggled both times to find a pitch.
The second time, we did three circuits of the whole site, (closely followed by another unit doing the same) finding only one pitch which, had we used it, despite having a small motor home, would have blocked in the car attached to a neighbouring caravan.
We admitted defeat and returned to the office to be given the numbers of the last three available pitches. Having checked these out, only one was available to us.
My point is, when the site is so full, could the wardens not indicate which pitches are available to prevent this frustrating game of hunt the pitch.
Supersite
Stayed twice at this site - once pre-COVID and again in July 2020 for our first foray out into the world of COVID restrictions.
It was with some trepidation that we embarked on this post-lockdown break but the procedures in place and the welcome of the staff made this a very reassuring and enjoyable time.
This site has to be one of our favourite locations. Next door to the site is the Abbey, which is really lovely and well worth a visit. Tewkesbury itself is a very attractive little town right on the doorstep of the Club site with beautiful riverside walks and activities. The town has a very interesting history and there are plenty of places to eat and drink.
It is much used as a stopover on the way to and from the southwest resorts but it really deserves an accolade as a location in it’s own right.
The site is immaculately kept by the wardens who seem to be constantly at work and they are so friendly and helpful.
A very reassuring introduction to a resumption of touring enjoyment once more.
Great stop-off location when travelling to Devon/Cornwall
Our first visit to this site and also first time out post-covid. Very friendly staff and arrival registration was well organised. We stayed twice for one night each at the beginning and end of our holiday down south as it was around half way for us. Nice to be able to walk in to Tewkesbury and see the old buildings and walk along the river bank. The arrangements for visiting the toilet block took some getting used to but as long as you planned the time of your visit we hardly ever had to queue. Possibly having hand sanitizer at both the food waste and water points might be a consideration. This was a very busy site but well organised.
Busy site
This was our first visit to the site, during the first few post-Covid weeks so it was bound to be busy! The wardens were very helpful and unlike other reviewers, we did not have any problems with dogs or other caravanners taking short cuts through our pitch. Loved the location next to the Abbey and within easy walking distance of the town centre (recommend Carousel Tea rooms on the High Street).
One minor gripe is that queues built up for the toilet block so perhaps have a few toilets (separately) for quick trips? This is available in the Moreton in Marsh site and is working well there.
Overall, a pleasant stay.

Not for us....
This is a nice site but we didn’t enjoy our stay and, having booked five nights, left after two. Sadly the rules don’t seem to apply on the Club sites like they used to. We had people continually walking across our pitch as a shortcut to the toilets, walking their dogs and generally just being lazy, despite the Covid information asking people to social distance by not doing this. We saw dogs defecating on pitches, including ours. Maybe we were just unlucky to be there at the wrong time. The dog situation really needs to be looked at on this site and others we visited. As an earlier reviewer suggested, maybe dog free pitches and no dog walking areas could be considered. Perhaps then I’d feel comfortable allowing my grandchildren to sit on the grass and not feel I had to bin anything I dropped on my pitch!
Spot on........
Been here once before....and before the improvements.
Got back last Friday and a great 5 days here, but the site was very very busy. Some folks drifted in for one nighters as just a couple of miles from the M5, others for longer like us. My OH, out Daughter & Granddaughter went off to Adams Farm and we tripped off out to Broadway & Bourton on the Water (this was packed and not very comfortable in covid times). While they went to Adams Farm I cycled into Worcestershire up the B4080 and had a great day out.
Facilites great, easy to the town for take away, shopping and canal walks. The Abbey is a must see. Morrisons and Aldi are here too.
My only gripe....... speed.....yes the old speeding on site issue...but too be fair the exit sign is small and if you miss it then you have to go around the loo block again and many get a bit peeved and speed up.....
Great site
Not long come back from staying here, lovely site, wardens very friendly, cleanliness second to none, especially the size of it, plenty to do, huge park adjacent to site, five minute walk into town, lovely shops and restaurants to go to, not all places were open, due to Covid, but felt very safe on site, everyone adhering to the rules, two people at a time in washing up area, three people at any time in the toilets and showers, this, was done by elastic bands in Milton in a small bucket outside, most of the time this worked ok, but did see children going in without adults and no band, but this is impossible to police 24 hours a day, overall experience was really good, and look forward to returning there sometime this year.
