Good Site

We arrived and was greeted with a very warm welcome from the Wardens, and remembered us from our previous stay once again very helpful ,we enjoyed our stay as all-ways. We found the toilets very clean and loads of HOT Water. Good washing up area and the wardens are always going round cleaning and tiding /putting plants in and trying to improve every thing that campers might need. Found a very nice hotel/ pub to have a meal and you could take dogs in .

Peaceful seaside retreat

We visit this site every year and consistently have a great time.Lovely position  within a 20 minute pleasant walk to Sandilands beach (just a Sandy beach and w.c.) and a short car ride or longer walk to Sutton a beautiful small town with all you need facilities whether you are a couple or family but without those dreaded slots!A very tidy clean site with friendly wardens and we are advised a new toilet block in the near future which is probably overdue as the present facilities are good but in need of updating.

Thanks Again

Its not been my lucky year so far with the caravan so off I trotted to Sutton on Sea with my new warranty replacement fridge for my 1st week in the van this year! I arrived to find the hook up cable had dropped, dragged on the floor and blown all the fuses in the van and the relay on the car. From day one the Wardens couldn't have been more helpful. Didn't actually find the relay was blown till my last day and despite a full book they found me space while the RAC fixed the car. It was a return visit for me and its a great site, the Wardens have had some stick in previous reviews but I give them 10/10.

A Grand Holiday

This is our second visit to Sutton this year and would be back in August if there was availability. The site is as you would expect on a caravan club site. The toilets are a little dated in comparison to others but they work and were very clean and tidy. I am sure they will be on the list for updating. The wardens were great, very cheerful, & always ready for a joke and a chat. This is lovely site with its location to Sandilands, the beach and the easy walk to Sutton with all the lovely beach huts. If you visit make a point of going to The Fat Seagull bistro at the bottom of Sea Lane just before you get to the beach, the food is exceptional, the staff and owners are really friendly and very welcoming. It is wise to book as they get very busy and only serve food at certain times. Please note that is one of the few sites where you have to pre- book a hard standing or grass pitch. This has just been introduced which can make things a little difficult if booked well in advance. For me it takes the charm out of choosing your pitch when you arrive, but I suppose different things need to be tried.

Green and pleasant

I stayed here with my two dogs. Thanks to super-helpful wardens, who helped me unhitch and manoeuvre my tiny caravan into position, as I was on my own. The site is well-kept, peaceful and very green, and there is a footpath outside along one perimeter for dog walking. The on site shop sells basic provisions which is really useful, as it's a short drive into the town of Sutton-on-Sea itself. Showers and toilets were fine. The nearest beach is sandy and was very quiet when we visited. A really relaxing stay.

First impressions of CC use

Sutton on Sea CC Site, July 2015 This is the first time That my wife and I have used a C/C site, we have just come back to caravanning after a couple of years break due to health issues. On arrival we were met with one of the wardens who was very helpful and had time to sort us out though we were left to choose the pitch we wanted, I don't know if the warden that greeted us was the permanent warden as later in the week he and his wife were off site and another couple  took over, anyway they were all very nice ordinary folks who could not have been more helpful, We were on a grass pitch behind the reception and could see all the comings and goings on the site, further down we were entertained by a young would be Tennis champion, he spent about six hours wacking the imaginary ball around and retrieving it from the imaginary net. that took me back to my childhood when i was left to amuse myself for hours on end, its good to see some youngsters don't need electronic toys, Back to the review, Camp Site was very tidy and clean. the toilets are a bit old but was told that they should be refitted in about 6 months, however they were very clean and that was the main thing. Everyone on the site seemed to be safety conscious with the speed limit etc, There wasn't a down side at all as far as we were concerned. what could have been helpful perhaps would be more fresh water taps around the site, there was 2 that I could see and if I had been a few years younger it would not have mattered at all but I am not as strong as i was so made do with rolling half a barrel back to the caravan, What surprised me was that on the way home my wife said that she would like to stay there again fairly soon, I was surprised because on our previous travels she always wanted to go somewhere different each time, To the Wardens of the site, thank you for all your help, you got it right for us,

From Birmingham to Sutton on Sea

My wife and i have just spent a week in Lincs and the last 4 nights at Sutton on Sea; the site is very nice and has all the CC facilities, wardens were very friendly when we arrived and we had no issues with grass cutting as per other reviews. I did however think there were a few failing maintenance issues in the toilets, cracked plastic cistern and loose locks in gents - and yes they are not as new as some CC facilities, but my main concern was the cleaning, they are cleaned at 10.30am but the floors were not properly cleaned in my view, bits of grass, dust and dead moths still there at 11am today after the clean. On the plus side side there is Hotel Bar/Pub The Grange & Lincs hotel which is not too far and walkable, the food and ale were excellent. Overall this is a nice site handy for the sea and I would return again, but its a long way on A roads from Birmingham!

Pleasant enough

Pleasant enough site, although I have to agree with some comments (1) constant grass cutting spoils the peace and quiet (2) we did not find the wardens very friendly they had trouble passing the time of day. (3) very good for dog walkers ,but overall reasonable . We will be back as its convenient for us for a long weekend.

Good short break site

If you are looking for a well kept site in a quieter location between Skegness and mablethorpe, you need look no further. Very well maintained by the site managers and. Just few minutes walk form a great, sandy beach. Toilet block is very clean but looking tired but this does not worry us as we mainly use no facility sites out of choice.

Lovely relaxing stay

We have just returned from 8 nights at the site and feel very relaxed and totally refreshed. The site is very peaceful with large well kept pitches. The wardens were very friendly and worked extremely hard to keep the site looking so good. The shower and toilet block was very clean. Our 2 dogs loved the fm dog walk which circled the site and there were several walks from the site to the beach and further afield. This is our second visit to this site and we will definitely be going back.
