Surprisingly lovely

We were made to feel most welcome when we stayed at the Strathclyde site for two nights. The lady who was in the reception area was most informative especially how to get to Glasgow easily, something we did do and thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were cheery and efficient and checking in was no bother at all. The facilities were incredible, spacious and absolutely clean and spotless. It was lovely that there was always music being played in the shower/toilet areas which was somewhat soothing. The site itself was spacious and very open and ideally placed for the motorway and a small totter to the nearby Toby for the carvery. I would recommend this site to everyone and we shall certainly return. A jewel in the crown of the mayhem of unruly roadworks!!

Lovely site spoiled by roadworks

We had a great time at Strathclyde Country Park, and plan to return when the motorway roadworks are complete. It was a nightmare getting in to the site due to a Triathlon taking place in the park on the day of our arrival, and no clear signage off the roundabout. Not the site's fault. This is a great site, clean, tidy, helpful wardens, with a Theme Park for the children within walking distance. The good weather helped, but all in all a top class Caravan Club site. Excellent as usual.

Roadworks

Lovely site. I00% for everything. Only thing to let it down was noise and access resulting from major roadworks. Will return when they are finished

Convenient & spotless

This must be quite a new site as the trees are still young and it seems a bit bare, but as soon as it matures this will be great. Very convenient as a stopover on way north for us. Spotless facilities. Noisy due to proximity of M74 but it's to be expected. Very easy to find and very friendly welcome.0

Unfortunate timing

Roadworks, poor signage and local Triathlon taking place impacted on our first experience of site which was a shame as it seems a nice site. Glad we were only staying overnight and not sure we would stay for longer due to close proximity of major motorway.

Great Site

Excellent site. We store our van there and use the site quite often. Having kids it's great to walk up to M&D's as there is plenty there to keep us all entertained. Site facilities are always spotless and the kids love the play park.

Why there

We are just back from touring through Scotland. Unfortunately we have had only few chances to reach a club site on our chosen tour. The site is run very well by the Club`s Staff as everywhere. The site in situated in touch to a lovely landscape park with lots of leisure options. But why the Club locates a Site direct on a hugh motorway junction. It´s ok for a night, when you are touring, but I don´t want to spent my holiday with this permanent noise waving over from the traffic. What a pity.

Great site

This is no doubt the best site I have been on. They were having problems with nearby Roadworks which had destroyed their phone lines but were coping. The site is large, clean and well maintained. The Country Park and Lock really made my visit. Wish I had stayed longer but will go back.

Cracking site

First time at this site, in true caravan club tradition the staff were great and very helpful and the site is immaculate there's some lovely walks in and around the park, ideally situated so you can explore further a field.Yes it was a little noisy with the road works near, but they are not going to be there for ever

Brilliant for a young Family

Being a young family and new to the Caravan Club this was the first site I had stayed at since buying our campervan and I was unsure what to expect. I was travelling alone with 2 children under 3 and the staff couldnt be more helpful, allowing me to have a disabled pitch opposite the baby/toddler room and helped me out with the arrival process to avoid me coming back and forth. Excellent facilities for the children and was made to feel most welcome. We enjoyed it so much we stayed on the way back home too. Unfortunately I thought this would be the norm but all the other caravan club campsites visited to date (especially those in the highlands) have failed to be so accommodating to a young family and didnt even have a baby changing shelf!! Great site highly recommeneded for those with small children. The soft play at the park down the road is great for the kids before hitting the road, too!
