Wifi system here.

2nd day of an 8 day stay and really irritated by the wifi system here. On all other CC sites after loggng in, there has been a logout tab. Not here. So if I want to change devices I have to close down and wait ages for my login to time out. Any one know of a way round this?

5th visit to Strathclyde park cc site

This is our 5th visit to this site as its local to us. Every visit to this site has been excellent. The shower facilities and toilets are the cleanest we have visited in over 30 years of caravaning. The grounds are always immaculate. We sometimes have the grandkids with us so we always manage to pitch up close to the kids play park which keeps the kids occupied and they always meet plenty of friends. The wardens do a great job here and are very helpful. i know there's a few reviews regarding the noise from the roadworks next to the site but this is just temporary until the work is completed. We have stayed here 5 times and never had a problem with excessive noise. This is a great site and we will be returning very soon.

Great for short or long stay

Stayed here on our way up to Islay in July 2016 and was very pleasantly surprised. I was expecting a lot of road noise due to the roadworks but they were almost unnoticeable. This is one of the cleanest sites I've been on. The facilities were spotless and very modern. Strathclyde Park is within walking distance and we were hoping to cycle round it unfortunately the weather was against us. It is in a great location for visiting Glasgow. There is a small bus that takes you into Glasgow from the campsite.  The wardens were extremely friendly and we chose our pitch. All were large hard standing pitches and some available super pitches. We will definitely stay here again probably for a longer stay.

Brief good stay

Stayed on 16th July 2016 overnight on way to loch lomond. Arrived just after 18.00 and was warmly welcomed and efficiently directed to any available pitch. Well organised site and spotlessly clean. No restrictions on coming or leaving and I left at 07.30 the next morning. Showers are spotleasly clean, free and no push activation which is always welcome. Location is ideal for hamilton/Glasgow and taxi phone shelter is available on-site for a wee night out. Strathclyde park is next door for watersports, running or cycling and there's a small play are for kids on site. Traffic noise from nearby M74 is almost unnoticeable and certainly doesn't affect sleeping but is greater than quieter sites hence 4 stars but not a reflection on the site itself. Recommend for an overnight or if looking to explore wider area for a few days

Handy site on way to Inverness

We stayed at Strathclyde Country Park for 4 nights and enjoyed the site especially having a serviced pitch. We visited relatives in the area, went to see the Kelpies and went on the Falkirk Wheel which was a very enjoyable trip. Thank you to the Warden advising us to come off at Junction 6 therefore missing the roadworks coming into the site. Lovely site and will be even better next year when they have finished the roadworks.

BAD WEATHER AND NOISE DID NOT DETER US

it was a noisy site because of extensive roadworks and the weather Well!! However the place was spotless and the wardens kind, helpful and good humoured. We went up for a Wedding and met our inlaws at the site so it was good. It was a nice touch to have fresh herbs to put into our Spag Bol. Our drive to Teesdale was via the Scottish Borders which were stunning and well worth the extra mileage and cost of diesel. In all a lovely break and the second time we been to Scotland so I expect there will be a third visit.

Good for Glasgow

We used this site as a base to explore Glasgow from and also The Kelpies and Falkirk Wheel. It was ideal for what we wanted. It's a little noisy being so close to a M/way junction and main roads but offered good access to Glasgow (30 min in our camper) and the Kelpies (40 min). We stayed for three nights arriving on a Friday so the site was quite full, people weekending. This added to the noise levels but kids screaming are not that much of a bother ! A level site with ample room and the usual spotless facilities. We headed off to The Isle Of Mull and the Mull Of Kintyre and stayed here again on our way back to Cornwall. We enjoyed Glasgow (much maligned) especially the Necropolis, The Kelpies are outstanding, in more ways than one and the Falkirk Wheel is well worth a visit. I would recommend this site.

A Good Stopover

We stayed at this site for two nights on our way back south from a trip to Scotland. The site is very well placed near the motorway junction, although this did cause some traffic noise. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The toilet block was immaculately clean. There were actually two toilet blocks but one was permanently closed. This was surprising for such a modern site. Pitches were spacious and level. What more could you ask for? The adjacent country park was well worth a visit with access from site and a good walk around the lake. We would definitely use this site again as a stopover for a couple of nights.
