SUPER STONEY

I have been coming to this site since the first week it opened 3 years ago and never been disappointed once. Immaculate clean site. Best wardens i have ever known, friendly, willing to help. The toilet block is always clean along with dishwashing area. Shops close by great chinese and chipper. Harbour area is a 10 minute walk with pubs and resteraunts. sports centre and swimming pool 2 minutes away. Sadly Maggie and Richard Walker are moving to a new site and the place will not be the same without them. GOOD LUCK.

A bit too new?

Stayed just one night here, I just thought the site was a bit featureless, I suppose because it is only new, site is immaculate though with a lovely warden who made us very welcome, the town of Stonehaven is very nice with a quaint harbor, the chip shop along the prom is the best I've tasted, but prepare to queue. Great for visiting Aberdeen just 15 miles away.

Superb!

A wonderful site, spotless facilities, friendly wardens..... What more could you want...a swimming pool? next door, an ice cream parlour with oodles of flavours? An easy 10 min walk, an excellent award winning fish and chip shop ?next door to the ice cream parlour,! There are also national trust for Scotland properties within 15 miles journey through fantastic scenery!

Stonehaven Club Site

Wonderful facilities, soooo clean. Pitches were brilliant. We had a great time, the wardens were great and so friendly and helpful, pity they are being moved on.

Sunny Stonehaven

This is a new site so as you would expect all facilities top notch,  site is at the end of village and next to beach which is shingle and sand, my first impression of Stonehaven,  well I wasnt happy the Lido next door needs painting and I though what have I come to.  But as we got out and about and walked to the other end of the village the Harbour side this end is different again, very picturesque and oldy worldy, lovely walk to War Monument from here and also you can walk to the Castle.  So my views of Stonehaven were changing.  If you leave the site and walk left away from village you can walk the cliff edge, but beware very dangerous path in places,  this path brings you out at a derelict church & graveyard, from here you can get access to main rd and walk back down to site good round walk.  Yes I would recommend this site,  great if you have Children and they love swimming, we only stayed here for 2ngts, towards the end of Sept but still Stonehaven was a very busy place.    Local shops for food included your Spar or Coop which were all in easy walking distance.   Lovely friendly wardens too.

First time here. Will be back

First time here. Spotlessly clean, well arranged. Facilities excellent and immaculate. Location is perfect, at edge of town and beach just across the quiet road. Travelling with motorhome and had our dog with us. Spent three nights here. Plenty to do without having to drive and good walks for dog. Dunottar Castle is a must. Dunottar Wood also a decent walk. Site is very quiet at night. The wardens were really good. Very pleasant and helpful. Nice places to eat and drink in town. Also the chip shop and ice cream shop outside of site are excellent. Very enjoyable trip. Will definately go back.
