This newly renovated site

This is the cleanest well kept site I have ever seen, the staff are friendly and keep the site well tended. It is positioned with in a 5min walk of the center of town (with good food shopping). This site is popular as it should be with so much going for it. Give it a try

East Coast Hols

Immaculate site looked after by the two very helpful wardens. Excellent for families as there is the large outdoor pool next door along with the climbing frames and such like in the adjoining play area. The beach is opposite the campsite so you couldn't get any closer, nice walks along the coastal paths including the one to Dunnottar Castle.

First Visit To Site

Our first visit to the site, the staff wardens welcomed us and were helpful and friendly.  The site looks new and is immaculate even though it was fully booked whilst we were there.  It had a fantastic baby room with even a small bath (perfect for our 6month old).  It was nice to be beside the sea smelling the sea air and hearing the sound of the waves.  There is a huge park next to the site, great for familys also an indoor and outdoor swimming pool just next to the park which was great until the swimming pool had a very loud disco and Dj was very noisy, this went on until midnight waking up our baby.  So for that reason it wasnt peaceful.  There was a chipshop, icecream shop within a few minutes walk.  You could also walk into the town which was small not much there.  Not sure I would go back to the site or not, maybe we just had a bad experience due to the Disco which would be great for some familys.

Great site

Loved this site. Everything was great, location next to the beach actually within Stonehaven, could walk to all facillities in Stonehaven, only 15 minutes from Aberdeen. Hard standing pitches excellent, roads within site excellent, toilet and shower facilities excellent. Overall fantastic site will definitely be back.

Fabulous seaside site

This was the best site we have stayed on so far.  We got a warm and friendly welcome on arrival and some tips as we declared ourselves newbies.  The site is only two years old and the wardens worked hard to maintain the immaculate facilities.  The hot modern shower and toilet block received our teenagers' highest rating so far!  The heated Lido next door is well worth a visit; it is quieter for swimming lengths in the morning with inflatables etc available in the afternoon.  It's worth knowing that the ticket is for the day so you can swim in the morning and return in the afternoon.  The Lido cafe is good value with freshly cooked fare.  We enjoyed exploring Stonehaven itself which is just a short walk along the front, with plenty of shops and boutiques.   There are nice pubs at the harbour and we visited the famous Aunty Betty's ice cream shop with the youngest.  Dunottar Castle is 2 miles south of Stonehaven and well worth visiting to see its stunning location.  Thank you for a great stay.

Excellent Position on the Sea Shore

As you would expect from a site that's only 2 years old, everything here is in tip top condition. The wardens are very helpful and friendly. For those with families, there is a playground on site, the beach is only 50 yards from the gate, there's a heated swimming pool right next door and a fitness centre just around the corner, more than enough to keep the kids happy. No dog walk on site, but the beach is so close it doesn't matter. Only a 5 minute walk into town either along the prom or on the beach and if you need more exercise, further afield you can walk to Dunnottar Castle just 2 miles along the cliff path. For golfers, there's a course just along the road which welcomes visitors. For serious shopping, Aberdeen is just up the road with regular buses running from just outside the site. There is so much to see and do in this area that another visit is a must to catch up with some of it.  We'll definitely be back.

The Sea & Rocks of the East Coast

Our visit to this amazing site was in May. With the sea just outside the gate the big decision is whether to walk along the beach into town or go along the prom!!  Actually you can't quite make it all the way along the beach you have to come up to the promenade to cross the stream/river.  It's an easy walk around the bay to the harbour and then back via the town or just stroll back along the beach.  A visit to Dunnottar Castle is a must, the views back to Stonehaven are stunning too.  The castle is a bit up and down so wear good shoes, there is a good car park there too.  This site is one of the best and the very helpful wardens keep it that way.  Wifi works well and so does the Satellite for TV, Seagulls are the only real noise but maybe in the summer months you might get noise from the swimming pool!

Great

What a wonderful site. Easily the best we've stayed at. Richard and Maggie were perfect hosts and everything was spotlessly clean. Definitely return.
