We stayed on this site for 3 nights last weekend and although we had snow, sleet and rain all in one day we still had a fabulous time. The site is in a great location right opposite the beach with a lovely walk along the promenade into the town centre and beyond. We walked to Dunnottar Castle along the coastal path which is a lovely walk and well worth the effort. Like so many others we enjoyed fish and chips from the Bay which were excellent but the queue was really long so it took around 45 minutes to get them but worth the wait! Wardens were very friendly and the facilities and site were spotless. Will certainly be back.
Lovely site
Just spent a couple of weeks on this site. New wardens very friendly and helpful and keeping the facilities lovely and clean. Site nice and tidy. Shame about the irresponsible dog owners allowing their dogs to foul on site.

Stonehaven Stay
Had a week here in early April. Not difficult to see why the Site is so popular.
The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful, ready to assist if asked, but never too intrusive.
The Site is well up to Club standards being opened fairly recently and will benefit when trees and shrubbery have established. It is well situated next to the foreshore and it is a pleasant walk into Stonehaven town centre and harbour. All supplies are available in town, including some small supermarkets. A 24 hr superstore is available in nearby Porthleven for major shopping. An excellent fish and chip shop is a couple of hundred yards along the esplanade. The queue is a testament to the quality of the takeaway food on offer !
There are plenty of attractions in the vicinity to keep caravaners occupied, including families, with the heated seasonal open air swimming pool and leisure centre adjacent.
Some noise is heard from the adjacent steep road, but this was not too intrusive.
An excellent site to which we will return when we have a slot for the 350 mile round trip.
One small complaint, nothing to do with the Caravan Club.....why do some caravaners insist on walking through other's pitches.....one male member kept walking so close to our caravan on his way to the toilet block that he tripped over our caravan step on one occasion !! And there was a through path provided ten yards away !
Wonderful Stay - Great Hosts
Impeccably clean. Short walk to downtown and food. Slight barn smell from the farm up the hill, but minor.

Great Site - Friendly Wardens
We have been regulars at this site since it opened. It is a great location and as others have said, well placed for award winning Fish and Chip Shop and the amazing open air swimming pool. We were pleased to meet the new wardens for 2016. A very nice couple who gave us a very warm welcome and were efficient and friendly and kept the facilities spotless, despite the attempts by some to make as much mess as they could!
I only wish the CC would review the max unit length for this site. Access is good and pitches large, why is it restricted to 8m it seems wrong.
Great site
Just came back on Easter Sunday from a very enjoyable week on this friendly site. The facilities being only 2 years old are great, wardens helpful and friendly keeping everything clean and tidy, very hard working. Must be hard to stay so happy when you see how some people manage to leave such a mess for them to deal with. Great fish and chips just a 2 minute walk away and ice cream to die for. As motorhomers we found the town really close where you could find all you need, great hardware shop and two co-ops. We have been to many sites over 5 years this rates in our top ten. Keep up the good work wardens you are appreciated by many and abused by a few. Thanks for a good week, we will be back.Just to say what a lovely touch by Stonehaven church sending a lovely lady around the site offering all a free Easter Egg, what a lovely gesture and no donation required.

Great place
We are new to caravanning and found the park to be clean, modern and well laid out with a great location to town. Have to say a big thank you to the park management who were extremely helpful when we had a couple of teething problems. Will definitely be back.
winter trip
This was our first visit to this caravan site last year in November and it was lovely cold but sunny. The site was beautiful and clean. staff very helpful and with it being our only ever 2nd trip ever they were very helpful in guiding us. The location of the site is brilliant everything is within walking distance and the dog loved the beach. Looking forward to revisiting this site in June and hopefully the weather is good enough to use the outdoor pool right next door to this site.
Great site
Stayed over Christmas while visiting family. Site was very clean and tidy and the wardens were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend
Really nice site
Stayed for a long weekend in October 2015. Haven't been caravanning long so are still finding our feet! But were totally inspired by the site - neat layout, very clean and modern facilities and very friendly staff. Local amenities and facilities are all you would wish for at a seaside town. A couple of the pubs (notably the Ship Inn) on the harbour front will allow dogs inside and in the eating areas - which was a great relief for us with two dogs in tow! The site is popular and, to be honest, there is adequate but minimal space (compared to other CC sites) between pitches. At this time of year there weren't that many families/children on site but I suspect during summer holiday months this could be quite a "busy" site - especially with the outdoor lido immediately next door. A very, very nice site but not a peaceful haven of tranquility.
