We always try and visit Stonehaven at least twice a year. The Queen Elizabeth site is well located next to the Lido and the coastal walks including the one to Dunnottar Castle. The wardens are both friendly and helpful and maintain the site to the highest of standards. Well done.
A credit to staff
We had three nights here and can only praise the efforts of the staff. The site is beautiful with facilities kept to a fab standard. Well done and thank you.
This site is an easy stroll along the seafront to town which is very pleasant.
Fish and chip shop nearby, you will have to queue but well worth it. Also the ice-cream shop is a must, fab ice cream.
We will definitely be visiting again , hopefully with better weather.
Heavenly Stonehaven
Everything about this site is excellent, the wardens, location, facilities all with a gorgeous coastal town on the doorstep. We could easily have spent a lot longer here but where on our way home. We will be back though there is so much to do or not with everything you need a stone's throw away including an Olympic sized heated open air swimming pool next door. Remember the swimming gear.
great short or long break
Found this site to be well established everything on site clean and well maintained. would recommend this site for area ease of transport for surrounding areas. First time I have been there great for families young or old like me will be back, by the way one of the best fish suppers 2 min. walk from site

Tartan Tour
We visited this site for the first time in June whilst on our Scottish tour, if it wasn't so far from home we'd be back like a shot. The approach and access to the site is easy. The location made it for us, right by the prom so an evening stroll to the harbour was perfect. Within walking distance are great fish & chip shops and of course ice creams for the perfect British holiday. There are numerous shops in the town along with a supermarket all just a walk away. Next door is an open air heated pool, which is very popular. The many castles of Aberdeenshire are within driving distance, as is Royal Deeside.
The site was busy but all the facilities were kept beautifully clean and tidy. Though the site is right on the seafront, in June it was pleasantly quiet at night, in high season it could be a different story.

Happy memories
Here we are again!!!!! Having bought a motorhome 11months this was our 5th trip to Stonehaven. We were greeted by the relief couple who were fantastic & as usual couldn't have been more helpful with my wife being disabled.
Unfortunately haven't met the new resident couple yet, but that won't be long as we will soon be back.
It was a pity the weather was so bad for the festival weekend but still enjoyable
Many thanks again

Fantastic location
The draw of this site is its location. The site is easily accessed from the A90 (dual carriageway) which bypasses the town of Stonehaven. Directly opposite the site is the promonade and beach. There's plenty of rock pools to explore too. Next to the site is an open air pool which is a bit dear to get into but your ticket is valid all day so you can go back to your van for lunch! During July and August the pool opens on Wednesday evenings for a swim and disco until midnight! A walk along the prom will take you to a fantastic chip shop, an icecream shop and further on to a recreation area which has pitch and putt and tennis. Continuing along the prom brings you to the town itself and further along still brings you to the harbour.
We didn't use the car much while we were here. One day we took the train to Aberdeen which was interesting. We also went to a couple of National Trust castles.
The only down side to this site is that there is no hedging to any areas so people tend to wander across pitches en route to the toilet block or service points. Pick a pitch on the perimeter if you prefer not to have a pitch invasion!
First caravan trip for twenty years
We returned to caravaning after a break of twenty years when the children weren't interested and work meant we weren't getting value from our van. Having both retired we've returned to the fold and had our first trip to Stonehaven, where our daughter and grandchildren live. We had a fabulous week, the grandchildren stayed with us and made lots of friends on the site, memories of day long past when we were children and playing with other youngsters on caravan sites. Stonehaven site is by the beach and with lots to do. We had plenty of trips to the loval ice cream parlour and also went to the heated sea water lido next door. The site was as we remembered caravan club sites to be, clean and well run by friendly wardens. All in all a good reintroduction to the hobby and we can't wait to venture further afield in the near future.
