Howarth's Easter break
We returned to the Stamford (Top Lodge) site once again this year to meet with family. Once again we were met by the friendly warden. Admittedly there were a couple of challenges for him as we presented a free night voucher plus a money off voucher, but he passed his customer service test (as usual ) with flying colours and also advised us how we could alter our bookings in person-which I never knew you could do. So all booked in, had a chuckle at my brother in laws expense when we heard of his manoeuvring prowess, or not as the case was!
Once again Stamford provided us with the perfect, peaceful getaway that we all needed and gave us much needed family downtime.
The site was again spotless and well maintained. Okay there is no toiler/shower block but we do have a van with decent equipment so we never see this as an issue.
The site is well located near to Stamford with shops, supermarkets, pubs,tea shops and restaurants. There's so much to choose from I don't think we've even scratched the surface of what is there.
The bonus of this site is the RSPB centre and lovely woods next door. There's a tea shop that also serves local delicious ice cream as well as great, well sign posted walks through the woods (which are all dog friendly) and activities in holidays and weekends.
This is a great site for families, is well managed by the wardens and well worth a visit.
