Peace & Tranquillity

We love this site. It is our favourite. The location is perfect. The woods are so beautiful at any time of year. There is lovely Stamford very near by for any shopping you may need. The site is kept extremely well by the current Managers, Sue & Pete & they definately make the site the lovely place to come to that it is as they are very friendly & helpful in every way. If you love nature this is the place for you!! Red Kites can be seen as they are in the woods & in the local area. We always look forward to our visits to thus beautiful peaceful site.

A Peaceful Weekend

It was my partner and I first stay at a Caravan Club site since we joined the club this year and we decided to coordinate it with a vineyard tour that I got for my partner. The site was very easy to find being well signposted off the main route between Stamford and Corby although the access lane into the site was a little narrow it didn't cause any issues. We had a very friendly welcome into a very clean and attractive site nestled within the Fineshades woods. The pitches had plenty of space between them, but the highlight of our 1st night (Friday) was the chip van that came to the site. As mentioned in the booking there is no toilet or shower block, this was not an issue for ourselves. Walks around the woods were fantastic as we have dogs. Finally I would recommend anyone wanting a quite relaxing stay this is a top site friendly and we will be using it again Especially for the chip van.

The gem in the woods

Been to this site many times over the years, and as we do not want toilet / shower facilities any more, consider it to be one of our favourite Club sites. Being weekday caravanners now we are retired, this site is very tranquil in the autumn, but always tidy and well mown. Beautiful walks from the site are always a pleasure, and nearby Stamford is a country town we love. Wardens are friendly and helpful as usual. A great site!

Tranquility

As we are only 20 mins away we love this site for the escape from the rat race, recharge the batteries etc. But we are to have new wardens as Pete and Sue move on. Thanks to you both for the friendly welcomes, where nothing is ever too much trouble, the clean and tidy site and the cheery goodbyes as we leave, you will be sorely missed, good luck to you both at your new site.

A calming influence

A well laid out site which is very maintained to a very high standard. Welcoming wardens with a selection of cakes for sale - lovely! Well placed for interesting walks nearby.

Peace and quiet

If you are seeking a site with good walking nearby, well kept facilities and the most pleasant and helpful wardens then Stamford is for you. It is not a site for families with children particularly although there are plenty of cycling and walking routes adjoining. The downside is that the wardens Peter and Sue are moving on after 4 years and they will be sorely missed.

Quiet and Tranquil

My wife and I spent four nights at Stamford and enjoyed the peace and quiet. The site is right next to a wide network of footpaths and bridleways. The forestry centre next door has bike hire and a cafe. We will definitely be returning.

Relaxing break

Stayed here for two nights and it was great.Next to some good walks,a cycle hire shop and an excellent eatery too. There's EHU and the site shop sells your basics, there's no shower or toilets but you just use your own. Will definitely return.

The perfect place

This site really is the jewel in the crown of Club Sites and the Wardens are just as lovely.  They cannot do enough to make your stay just perfect. My husband and myself recently stayed at the site and unfortunately we were both quite poorly with the flu. Sue went out of her way to make sure we had all the correct information we needed to get medical advice and enquired regularly how we were doing.  Many thanks to you both and we cannot tell you have disappointed we are that you will be moving to the Sutton Site next year.   We will really miss you both.
