Nice but room for improvement

The site is in a lovely setting but disappointed with times for cleaning with early closing time.  In the two weeks we were there was one shower cubicle in both the ladies and gents out of order.  For a site of that size needs more, another toilet block.  Toilet block closes early in the day and when it is closed the laundry also closes.  There is one spare toilet but not really enough for a large site.  On two occasions whilst we were there there was no hot water.  Hard standings would be good but we understand this is because CC don't own all of the site.  Would also be good to have somewhere to walk/exercise dogs.  When toilets were being cleaned the shop/reception was closed too.

St Davids

This is a really friendly site the wardens are excellent helpful & kept the site clean tidy & rubbish free. We have a motor home which means moving a round lanes difficult so we like public transport which St David's has a service runs Past the entrance of the site which cost £1 when ever you get on the bus if you are going to white sands St David's & plenty of other places. If you have a car it is a great place to tour from. The toilet block is kept very clean plenty of showers wash basins, a good laundry & washing up room over all the site is in a beautiful area with nice scenery & very peaceful.

Fantastic site!

We visited this site and stayed for 4 nights in July and absolutely loved it! The staff were all very friendly and the site was immaculately clean! The toilet block was first class, plenty of hot water, spacious dressing rooms and plenty of toilets. Myself and my daughter loved the added bonus of being able to listen to the radio while we showered, a super addition! As for the area, WOW! A first visit to Pembrokeshire for us but definitely not our last! The coastal walks were fantastic with absolutely breathtaking scenery, we even saw a few seals bobbing their heads up and down out of the water, just perfect!  The city of St David is beautiful with various good places to eat and enjoy the surroundings and the cathedral is just stunning!  Already thinking about booking for next year and staying a bit longer!  Highly recommended!

Excellent site

We have just come back from two weeks at this lovely site. It is ideally located near to one of the best beaches in Pembrokeshire, great clean and spacious facilities. Very friendly and helpful wardens. We ordered fresh pastries and gorgeous bread, fetched by the warden each morning from local bakers - still warm when it arrived. Can not recommend this site enough!

A Bit Disappointing

The site is very well situated, being but a short walk to the beach, and an even shorter walk to the excellent Celtic Coaster bus service which will take you to and from the wonderful city of St David’s and/or the beach.  Should you prefer to walk, the city is little more than a mile’s easy stroll through delightful countryside and, further afield, unlimited walking along the coastal path is a joy.  The site itself though, we found rather disappointing, and in need of some improvement compared to other Club sites we have visited.  It is quite a large site, having 115 pitches and, perhaps because it was mid-August and the site virtually full, we found the toilet facilities inadequate for the numbers involved.  It really needs a second toilet block.  Despite the best efforts of the wardens, some toilets were horribly blocked and unuseable.  Several pitches had been badly affected by groundsheets left for lengthy periods, and there are no hardstandings.  We felt, had the weather been really bad, there would have been a real chance of our motorhome becoming bogged down.  We also felt that more speed humps on the roads were needed, as some drivers clearly had no idea of the 5 mph limit, although it has to be admitted that this is not the only site to which this applies!  All in all, we enjoyed our brief stay, but we have been on better Club sites, and I’m sorry to say it may be some time before we return.

Great Position

We stayed here for three nights (July 2015) and found the staff very friendly and helpful. Great walks along coast path and beautiful beaches and isolated bays. Sand like powder with fantastic views. Short distance out of St Davids and a little 9 hole golf course walking distance away. Weather was great so might be a little different if raining.

back again

we visit this site at least once if not more every year. good location, friendly wardens, clean well kept amenities. level grass pitches some of which are more compact than others. facilities block once required keys that is no longer the case and it is not unusual for these to be used by the adjoining site occupants as they only have a very small block for many more pitches.  site facilities were upgraded a short while ago it is unfortunate that the motorhome point ( a drain cover in a sloping bit of the road ) was not upgraded at the same time. Oh!  and our dog always enjoys the many and varied walks locally.

Great, not many dogs

One of the few cc sites I have been to where there are no facilities for dogs.no dog walks and they are not allowed on the beach in the summer, great lets keep it that way. Ever wondered why they are not allowed on the beaches considering according to their owners they can do no wrong. Had a great holiday here.
