We turned up with no bookings. Web site showed 38 pitches available previous night. Turned out a large number of pitches are beyond use due to the dead grass following people not lifting ground sheets, By Wednesday night no pitches available. Wardens changed to horticulturalists as the were raking up dead grass and trying to reseed. All ground shhets should be banned on Grass sites if this is how members behave. Spoilt it for a lot of people and cost a lot of income to the club as those pitches unlikely to be available again this season.
It did rain but
the wardens on this site are a credit to to the club the toilet block is spotless and the shop had all we wanted . It did rain but it has been a poor summer .
the best hotel grub we found was the Grove in St Davids the beer was good and so was the food .

First time with the grandchildren
We've stayed here several times now and love it! St David's is a special place.....peaceful and beautiful so long as you don't want nightlife and amusement arcades!! This was the first time we had taken our grandchildren aged 3 and 5 . They spend most of their life glued to a TV so this was a complete change for them. Great beach, lots of room to run around, crabbing at solva and they loved to too! The children's bathroom was excellent and they argued over who could go first each night as everything in it was their size. We will be back!
Fantastic Site
We stayed on this very peacefull site for 2 nights in Sept as we came for a wedding. The site was very clean and tidy, beautiful view with lovely helpfull staff. We would highly reccomend this site, can not wait to return.
Mature couple

What a location
Great location for beach, coast paths for stunning walks. If you want to go a bit further afield the Celtic Coaster bus stops at the site and for £1 for adult (child free with adult) will get you eg to St Davids and its beautiful cathedral or St Justinians for the boat trips around Ramsey Island (get to see seals and porpoises). Wardens were very helpful and friendly. Will go back.
Coastal beauty
If you enjoy surfing, swimming, birdwatching, walking, watching sunsets on the beach, or just sitting in your chair enjoying the fresh air with a nice cuppa, then this has to be the perfect site. The Pembrokeshire coast is stunning. The coastal path is just across the way from the site and a walk in either direction affords wonderful views. We would recommend a trip to Ramsey Island from St Justinians. The island is owned by the RSPB and while only one boat company has rights to land on the island, many others offer trips around to see the cliffs and bays. We were lucky enough to see the first seal pup of the year during the third week of August but there will be many more in the next few weeks. The little bus that stops just at the entrance to the site charges £1 for any journey and is brilliant for getting you back to the 'van after a long walk. St David's cathedral is beautiful, and the refectory serves a good lunch and nice pot of tea. There are plenty of other cafes and pubs too, though we didn't try them all! We will definitely return to Pembrokeshire. And we are wondering if we are too old to give surfing a try. I reckon not.
Learner surfers paradise.
This was our second year at this site & we love it. It is always clean and well cared for, the facilities & pitches are very generously proportioned & the wardens are always friendly and helpful.
Our 16 year old son is learning to surf and this site is ideally situated. We throw him and his board in the car to drop him down at the beach (car park attendants allow this) and he walks back up when he's had enough. It's that close.
This is a lovely, peaceful, picturesque site. There have been coments about the bird noise, but it's only twice a day, morning - leaving and evening - arriving to roost and you can pitch away from them.
We were visited by the cheeky site badger who sneeks into awnings, such an amazing sight. Evening bats flying by, visiting crickets & the amazing starlit sky make this a great place for nature lovers. This site would suit people who enjoy the outdoors and countryside. We will be back again.
Thank you Whitesands wardens for another great holiday.
Great site and great location
Great site - very clean and tidy. In a great location - the scenery was fantastic. Wardens were extremely friendly and helpful. The local bus service was brilliant - should be promoted on the club site to make motorhomers aware. Only drawback was no wifi but will definitely visit again.
