Beautiful Site

Beautiful site, fantastic facilities, really clean and tidy everyday, loved the music in the bathrooms. This was our first Caravan Club stay and we really enjoyed it the wardens were lovely and friendly and even though we arrived at the wrong site at first they helped direct us. On arrival we had a choice of Pitch which was nice. Very peaceful surroundings despite the crows being very noisy at times but it didn't bother us once you get used to it. A short walk down to Whitesands Beach really made our holiday, it was a beautiful beach and the waves were massive. The bus that came to the site was amazing too, for only a £1 you could go to St Davids or Whitesands or a round trip, very good value for money. We only wish we could have stayed longer but we will definitely be returning for a longer holiday next time.

Something to crow about?

This site is in a great location for keen walkers, marine water sports enthusiasts and, of course, the wonderful Pembrokeshire coast. The facilities are good and maintained extremely well by the wardens, who are polite, welcoming and friendly. It is a shame about the noisy crows but you get used to it, I suppose. Improvements are needed to the extremely narrow access drive and there ought to be more available designated space to handle arrivals - three outfits tend to block the entrance completely. Compared to many sites, the lack of tree planting as a means of dividing up the field, tends to make the place seem rather soulless.

Never mind the Badger and Crows....

Just returned from 3 weeks in South Wales and this site was the best by far. Wardens are friendly and keep the place spotless. The views are great and the pitches are spacious. Most days were spent leaving the car on site and walking to the beach or on the coastal path or down into St David's. The crows (or maybe some Ravens) weren't a problem in fact they made quite a site coming back to roost during the evening. There were warning notices about a badger on site but I'm not aware of anyone having a problem however no warnings about the mice. Halfway through our stay I noticed holes in my awning apron then underneath the apron a mouse nest (if that's the correct term) made up of grass and awning skirt. Might just be worth checking your awnings every day - forget about the badger!!!

Perfect stay

Stayed from 22th till 29th June 2015

We felt welcome from the time we rolled up to the time we left, the wardens appear to keep this site wonderfully clean and tidy they were outgoing and friendly. The site couldn't have been better situated to enable us to enjoy our 7 days exploring the beautiful Pembroke coast. It has wonderful views and the lovely City of St Davids a short walk away as well as the beautiful beach Whitesands just a stroll away too. People have remarked about the crows and yes they can be noisy, but we didn't find them disturbing. Perhaps our one observation about that issue would be that people should be discouraged putting up bird feeders, after all in is in a natural area and the birds have plenty to eat around there and then possibly the crows would not congregate as much around the vans ! We will be back that's for sure !

Wales tour 2015.

Visited site for the first time in June 2015. All the talk about the noise from the crows wasn't evident. As for the site was the best of the five we used around Wales. Great wardens excellent toilet block and pitches well laid out and great unobstructed views. The bus service from site entrance frequent and not expensive £1 any distance. For those who like golf St David's City Colf Club is 400 yards from site entrance rarely busy and true links golf experience I played it 3 times on my 3 night stay. The Whitesands beach is close by and the bus goes there if you find the walk to difficult. The wardens were great and have good knowledge of the area. St David's a short bus ride is well worth a visit. It's one still we will definately visit again.

Lots to "crow" aboutJ

Just returned from Lleithyr Meadows after a restful period. As always at CC Sites, the facilities were top rate with Wardens being helpful and friendly. Crows, what crows apart from their evening roosting but not much noise to complain about. St.  Davids City is small but the Cathedral is well worth a visit. The headland walk at St. Justinians is also worth a try. To travel further afield there are all the usual shops and supermarkets at Haverfordwest, about a half hour drive through a few interesting areas. Didn't walk down to Whitesands Bay (15 mins). Parking there is a flat fee of £4, a little steep for a quick visit! If traveling from the north or further I can recommend a stay-over CL near Welshpool, Pencraig. It's a it off the main track but well worth a stay.

1st Site stayed at!!

This was the first site we stayed at since we joined the Club. We loved it. It was clean, quiet enough, the people staying were all polite. The staff were lovely and helpful, very kind and attentive to our disabled son and did not laugh when I took a corner trim of the caravan off as I turned onto the site!!!! Lily the lurcher loved the walks and dog friendliness of the camp and local area. They even came and fixed it for me. Many thanks for a lovely short stay and we shall be back!

Lovely place but the crows!

Lovely and helpful welcome from the wardens who pointed out two pitches close together for our friends and us. Toilet block lovely and clean at all times but site needs another block as this one is a fair walk if you are on the other side of the site. the trees in the middle of the site are very attractive but at roosting time are full of the noisiest and messiest crows imaginable! Good to see another motorhome service point BUT most UK spec MH's drain on the drivers side, which means turning MH round twice as it is a one way system, it is also on an adverse camber which will possibly stop it emptying properly. Some great walks out of the gate, Whitesands Bay and St Davids easy walks, though lanes sometimes get busy with traffic.

Lovely Site

We have just returned from St Davids, spending 11 nights at this lovely site with beautiful views over open countryside and hills. The facilities are excellent; the toilet block is the cleanest we have seen and the wardens and staff are very friendly. The addition of Radio 2 playing in the toilet block was a nice touch. The Rooks and Jackdaws on the site can be noisy if you are pitched close to their nesting site, but we got used to them after a while. The only criticism we had was that mobile phone coverage (we are with O2/Tesco) was extremely limited for making and receiving calls. This is obviously not the fault of the site, but with no data coverage either the provision of Wifi facilities by the Caravan Club should surely be a priority. We had to go into St Davids to make calls and/or access Wifi facilities and a number of cafes and restaurants provide free access. The immaculately clean blue-flag beach at Whitesands Bay, popular with surfers, is only a short walk away and there is another beautiful beach at Newgale on the A487 road from St Davids to Haverfordwest. St Davids itself is well worth a visit; as well as the Cathedral it also has a good mix of restaurants, cafes, galleries and shops. The 'Oriel Y Parc' visitor information centre was particularly good, with an arts and crafts exhibition, small shop and an excellent cafe/restaurant with free Wifi. For the more adventurous and nature lovers, there are daily boat trips offshore and to Ramsey Island offered by various operators. The nearest big town, Haverfordwest, is about 15 miles away and is worth a trip for supplies, particularly as the only supermarket in St Davids is not the best. We also enjoyed trips out to Fishguard, Cardigan, Tenby and Solva. Overall, this is a lovely site which we would recommend to anyone who enjoys beautiful scenery together with a bit of culture.
