St Davids

This is our favourite campsite and as usual the staff were excellent. We booked for 4 nights but ended up staying another night. Plenty of walking available from the site and many others within a bus ride or a short drive. We cannot wait to get back there in September. Pity there is no wifi but not a problem.

St David's Lleithyr

I love this site! The wardens are always very friendly and helpful, the walks from the site are wonderful, and the smallest city in Britain is close at hand. In addition, the local bus services are efficient and brilliant value - whether you want to walk or just sight-see.

Great staff

I was really impressed with the two women staff in reception.  They were both incredibly helpful but the member of staff in the white CC polo shirt went out of her way in advising of places to visit & see. She made me want to stay longer than the one night! Unfortunately I wasn't able, but she was right.

Wet week in Wales

We had atrocious weather with only one day without heavy rain and wind. However, the site is in a delightful location, great for walking with easy access to the sea and the the city of St Davids. Anywhere else requires a car. The staff were helpful, particularly one day when a strong storm came through that threatened to blow away a number of awnings. The only downside was the size  of the toilet block, which is on the small side. This could be a problem when the site is full.

Our summer holiday

Lovely site. Noisy rooks in the trees can be a problem. Good walks and the local bus is great.  Wardens very friendly. The shop at the nearby commercial site came in very useful.  Really good chip shop and butchers in St Davids. The hottest water we have ever come across in the shower block.

Well located site.

The location is excellent for walking, beach and surfing. The site is a good size so both pitch size and spacing is good. The facilities are well maintained however given the size of the site the single facilities block can become stretched. The only negative for us was that due to the open nature of the site the site traffic speed was certainly not slow and appeared not to be challenged.

A Pleasant few Days

The site is ideally placed as it is close to St Davids and some fantastic coastline. We visited the site as a nostalgia trip as I was brought up in this part of Wales. From here we could visit all my old haunts. Nostalgia is not going out of fashion believe me. The beaches on this part of the Pembrokeshire coast are stunning and I would recommend a visit to Barafundal beach. The only down side was an occasion when I was treated as a small schoolboy by one of the lady wardens which did not go down well. She needs some further training in customer relationships. We were made to move our 3 axle motorhome to a service point to fill up with water when there was fresh water not more than 15 feet away. While I appreciate that all sites must have rules, on this particular occasion I believe that some flexibility would have been appropriate. However, if flexibility was not available, I would have expected politeness. I got neither.

Very good site.

A very nice and tidy site. Very clean facilities and close to St Davids and the beach. A bus stops right outside the site and the walk into town is about 20 minutes. Great views around the site and lots of walks to be found nearby.

nice site

Great sight for exploring this part of the coast. We managed to walk coast path between Solva and Porthgain in sections using public transport which was great. There is a minibus service that runs into St Davids from outside site and then you can get connections to quite a few areas so no need to use car. Whitesands beach within walking distance safe for swimming and surfing etc. Local Nisa in St Davids for shopping but there is a Tesco at Havefordwest. Site maintained as expected however there is no do walk, dogs to be exercised / emptied off site I have to say this is the worst site I have stayed on for the flouting of this rule so don't be surprised. Wardens need to be more visible to enforce rules in my opinion. Would stay here in futures

Stopover not long enough

Used as a stopover for a couple of days before getting the ferry at Fishguard to Ireland. The stay was excellent ,having not visited for a number of years but it was superb right from meeting the wardens and booking in to enjoying a walk to St Davids one day and a coastal stroll along the outstanding Whitsands the next.I will not be leaving it so long this time.
