We had a pleasant weekend but this site is now expensive compared to all other UK club sites. Not sure why but check the detail when you book. The wardens were efficient but not very welcoming. We spent the previous weekend at Blackshaw Moor and the site wardens were fantastic despite poor weather conditions.

Another lovely Stay

Always love visiting this site. Not too far from home but you could be anywhere. Lovely position opposite the sand dunes. Leisurely walk along the front to the town with its many shops and bars. Something for everyone

Just returned from a 4 night stay which was high season even though the kids were still in school in Southport. £35/night for 2 adults, 1 child and 1 dog. No dog walk on site, Victoria Park closed (due to a caravan rally) & a bored teenager with no where to kick a football about. Location is really good, within easy walking distance to town centre which we love. Not much happens on this site, plenty of empty spaces.  Too expensive in my opinion. I will make sure I check my figures properly next time as I don't think this is value for money at all. Caravan club getting greedy!!

Lots to do at Southport

The site facilities are excellent as expected and wardens are very friendly and helpful. There is a park and ride very close by which costs £1.50 for two adults (special CC rate). Morrisons in walking distance. Pleasant park behind site with model boating lake a bit further on. Good birdwatching at RSPB Marshside and Ainsdale, and straight from the site in the dunes just across the road. There is also outdoor gym equipment on the seafront if you're feeling especially active. We will have to come back as we have enjoyed pottering around on foot so much we haven't even made it to Formby Point or Crosby yet!

Southport Caravan Club Site

Good location for town facilities & beach area. Made very welcome by staff. Grateful to wardens who came to my assistance when a problem arose. Checked power supply and identified that the leisure battery was overcharging and dismantled it from underneath van. Able to enjoy our last day in Southport as a result. Staff a credit to Caravan Club. Highly recommended.

Excellent Site within 1 Mile of Southport

We stayed Easter week monday to saturday and found the site lovely. Good walks to take the dog over sand dunes and park adjacent. The fly by of starlings at dusk as they look to roost for the night is spectacular. It was our first visit since the refurbishment and found the facilities superb. Wardens work hard to keep club standards up and always helpful and pleasant. Only gripe was a family in a caravan 2 pitches away didnt have their dogs on a leash and one came over to ours who was on a leash and it attacked our dog. It wasnt very pleasant but fortunately neither dog was hurt. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would visit again.

Outstanding

First time to this site and we loved it! Great location to town centre. Lots of bike rides and walks. Mid week was quiet in town but the weekend was buzzing and some great events in the town. Toilet block immaculate. Only negative the lane is dark at night so lights on here would be great!

well

On the whole this is a great site brilliant location. The biggest problem is the newest part of the site looks good but trying to keep an awning fixed is terrible, you can push the pegs in by hand thus no stability least bit of a breeze they just pop out next time we go, which we will, seriously think about leaving the awning at home.

First trip of the year

Gave this site an overall rating of 4 only because left side of site was only open which lacked a bit of character. I am used with sites that have pitches in culdesacs surrounded by hedges and trees, apart from that site was well maintained and spotless . Excellent location 10 min walk from town centre which has great selection of shops sea front about same great plaza there with multi screen cinema, lovely park just outside site good for dog walking
