One night stay

Not a bad site to stay for visiting Southport it's close enough to be able to walk into the centre. We stayed in our camper van so we need a site with good toilet & shower facilities, which this site has but unfortunately the morning we were due to leave the toilet block was closed for cleaning 10.15 until 12, there was a service toilet available but no chance of being able to have a shower! other sites we have been to manage to clean without the need to close off the toilet block altogether, don't see why this site should be any different. We paid for the use of the facilities which we never got to use.

Nice site

After touring the uk for the last 8 weeks stopped at Southport on the way home, this site is still one of the best for locations and is kept in a lovely condition. One of the previous reviews complained about traffic noise but we did not hear any.Sadly the warm and friendly WARDENS must have been on holiday !!! Because the ones that we met were not friendly.

Ticks the boxes

Great site. Well run and maintained by the hard working wardens, who I find to be extremely friendly and helpful. Location means there is something for everybody. Only downside was the late Saturday night boy racers on the coast road (absolutely nothing to do with the caravan club) and is just one of those modern day things. As a frequent visitor this is one of our favourite places. So thank you wardens for help in making it so.

Weekend Break

We had a lovely weekend break. Perfect place to be, close to everything. The town centre is a short walk away with plenty of shops & places to eat. The site itself is peaceful & the toilets & showers lovely & clean. The wardens are very friendly & helpful. Will definately return.

Short Break

Wanting to get away fro a short break and also wanting to visit Liverpool. We found the campsite to be in an ideal place. The railway was only a 15 minute + walk away, with trains running every 15 mintues to Liverpool. The campsite staff were helpfull and very friendly. Toilet and shower block were extremely clean - needs some active air freshners !! Southport is a nice town to shop and tour araound. We would defitnately visit again.

Great location with a very helpfull and friendly welcome

The wardens are extremely helpful and friendly and keep a very clean and well kept site. The location of the site is perfect, especially for us with a very energetic dog! Beach on one side of the site and the park on the other. You can do a easy and very enjoyable circular walk into Southport, through the park one way and back along the 'beach' the other way. Will certainly be returning.

Lovely site

The site has recently been refurbished resulting in a lovely site. Showers etc are second to none with plenty of room as well as nice and warm and very clean. Huge pitches. Wardens very friendly. Location good for visiting Southport. Sadly Southport is not as it used to be and feels as though it's seen better times. The gardens were beautiful though it's just Lord Street looked very neglected.

One spoiler

There is a great Seinfeld episode with an over officious soup shop owner, the soup nazi. Woe betide anyone that doesn't conform to his exact rules. Southport is similar, love coming here but the rudeness of the wardens makes it difficult. I am 46 and have been told off like a child 3 times this far.

Grand time here

We had a fortnight at this wonderful site only let down by the fluctuating wi-fi signal. Wife is a wheelchair user so we can say that the facilities were first class. A good walk for me pushing my wife into the town (nearly all the pavements were ramped) which is full of wonderful shops with just about everything available in the town. Easy Acess to Liverpool on the train was so easy, didn't even have to book the ramp! We will definatly be coming again!
